Barrister42 Posted August 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2009 We are new to Regent and Voyager. We are experienced cruisers on other cruise lines. Anyone else doing this cruise? Any pointers or suggestions?
Wendy The Wanderer Posted August 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2009 There's a roll-call thread for that cruise, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=909009 Pointers, hmm. Contrary to published details, you can board the ship around noon if you like, and have lunch on board. Rooms won't be ready until 2:30 or 3, but you can spend your time exploring the ship and congratulating yourself on such a good choice! Monte Carlo boarding can be slightly aggravating, but not too bad. Voyager is a wonderful ship, have a great time.
Rare Caroldoll Posted August 7, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 7, 2009 there is a Roll Call, although I have not been on it. We are starting the leg before Monte Carlo and will already be on the ship, but are looking forward to the cruise. We were just with Regent less than two months ago and had a fabulous time. I don't know any specifics to tell you, but Travelcat-2 who is usually on this board could probably give you a lot of hints. See if she gets on here with some words of wisdom. Travelcat2 Posted August 7, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 7, 2009 First, you have selected what I consider to be the best of Regent's ships. She is absolutely beautiful! Remember to make your dining reservations for Prime 7 and Signatures exactly 30 days prior to your cruise. Prime 7 fills up quickly. I suggest that you do not book them for the 2nd night (night of the Captain's reception) or the night of the Captain's farewell. Compass Rose has special menu's on these nights. Obviously, I could go on and on about the Voyager. Are there are specific areas that you are wondering about? Do go to Roll Call as well. These are the people you can meet on your cruise.
