As the ship fills up, rates go up... it's all about supply and demand. You are looking at what some areas of the country call "spring break"... again familes will be travelling and that will fill the ship up and thus the rates will follow.

If you have found a rate that appeals to you, pony up the deposit and secure that rate and stateroom you want. Then start watching the rates and request a price adjustment if you see rates drop below what you paid and are eligible for those rate drops.

Good Luck and Happy Cruising !

I think it is so funny to read the comment, "with the state of today's economy"... let me say this... Taking calls from at minimum 15 callers a day that want to price check a cruise, this is a very common statement. There will be callers complaining because they think that the 7 night balcony cruise they just priced at $500 pp including all taxes and fees is too high, but then the next caller books a inside at $700 pp for the same itinerary without a complaint.

Cruise travel is not down, everyone needs a vacation and the trends are that instead of suites people are booking balconies, instead of oceanview they are going with insides, but they are still traveling.

If you found the price you like, jump on it, because just like with the lady last night that called me back 30 minutes after she said she wanted to think about the oceanview room that was $839pp on a princess cruise including flights it will be gone.
