Cheapest way for two people to go to Atlantis all day guaranted

Sailing August 31st on RCI Monarch of the Sea with my 13 yr old daughter. Thinking about purchasing the cruise line excursion to Atlantis with a total cost around $300. Want to know if we could do it cheaper and guaranteed we get into Atlantis.

Unless you want to use their pool/beach, you don't need an excursion to visit Atlantis. You can take a cab there, shop, use the casino (but not with a child!!), eat in the restaurants.....

There's another hotel right next door that does "day rooms" and you can use Atlantis' pool and facilities.

Have you called Atlantis on your own and checked on their rates? It may be cheaper for you to do this one on your own, rather than going through the cruiseline.

Or--stay on the ship and use the pool you've already PAID for! The ship will be virtually empty while everyone is in port, and it's a wonderful pool day!!! Feels like the ship is your own private yacht!

Thanks for the info. I promised my daughter we'd spend the day at Atlantis. I will call the resort to see what a room rate would be for the day. How easy is it to get a cab at the port to Atlantis?

I think the Comfort Inn is the hotel that you can book cheaper and still have access to Atlantis. Check on the Bahamas board to make sure.

i think it is about 100-150 dollars for a day room at the comfort inn across the street from Atlantis and they give you up to 4 wrist bands for entry into everything at Atlantis

It's the Comfort Suites Paradise Island - Book it online. If you have AAA you can get a discount on the room. First thing in the am grab a cab there (simple), check in and out at the same time (they are used to this), get your wristbands, take your hotel receipt, walk across the road to atlantis, go to the towel shack. Show them the receipt and wristbands and they will give you towels. You have the rest of the day to enjoy all of Atlantis!

 

It should definetely be cheaper than the $300 the cruise charges plus you have full access which you WILL NOT have thru the cruise lines excursion. If you can find another couple to split the cost of the hotel room it could even be better!

Thanks for the info. I would have to book Comfort Suites prior to sailing, do you have any suggestion on how to find another couple to split the Comfort Suites costs with?
