San Juan: Do Taxis wait for you to install carseats? Or...

I got a quote for transfers from the airport to our hotel for $65...seems a bit steep when taxis will cost me about $30. The question I have is will the taxis wait for us to install the carseat (we brought our to Miami but really never installed them properly).

 

Any one had any experience with taxis in San Juan and installing car seats? Any alterative travel arrangements???

I cruised out of Puerto Rico last year and took a taxi from the airport to the hotel, from hotel to ship, and from ship to airport. All taxis waited for me to properly install the carseat.

I've also cruised out of San Juan with a carseat. The cab driver was very polite and patient while I installed the carseat. He said "Safety first" when I apologized for taking up time.

Truly, they can't leave until you're in the taxi---take all the time you need!
