injunjoe Posted August 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2009 I used to cruise fairly regularly but for a variety of reasons, haven't cruised in 3-4 years. What kinds of changes, if any, can I expect to see when I cruise in November? Am I allowed to bring canned soda/bottled water onboard? I'm sure that booze is still not allowed to be brought on, right? Security changes? Any and all input is appreciated. Thx, Joe in St. Louis
cb at sea Posted August 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2009 what cruiseline? Most mass market ships will allow water/soda to be brought onboard. Booze (except for wine on SOME lines) isn't generally allowed.

cathyz Posted August 9, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Carnival.....so there have not been many changes? Well, there are some I guess, you can only carry on one bottle of wine per adult now, we used to carry on several. There are no snacks at the Captains Party and I guess you have to pay for the drinks now, at a discount. But there's a new 'farewell party' on the last night that does have an hour or so of free drinks at a few different bars. Some say the service quality has dropped, but we haven't noticed that, I still think you get what you put into the crew (smiles, hello's, etc, etc.).
