Shuttle, Cab or Limo

3 of us arriving at the airport next Thursday 2:30 pm - going to the Sheraton in Waikiki. Looking at the cost of the shuttle - according to mapquest says its 17 mins or 9.26 miles - would take the shuttle but don't want to wait till it fills up and then makes stops along the way - any ideas if this hotel is first, middle or last - cost for round trip would be 45.00 for all three of us. Then looked at ABC limo - 133 round trip with Leis - would be nice but don't know if its worth it for a short trip. What about a cab - anyone know how much from the airport to the Sheraton for 3 people?

Plan on taking a cab from Sheraton to the Pier - again anyone know how much - mapquest says 3.39 miles. First time to Hawaii and first time on a cruise.... getting down to the final plans.

Well, as soon as you get off plane and head towards Baggage claim and outside the terminal, you'll end up towards Limo, Shuttle services. There you'll tell service person what hotel you're going to and hop right in! No frills, nor Leis, just a 20 min or so to hotel and it'll cost bout 40.00 bucks give or take a few. Again, you'll see minivans or limos. Depends on what you want really.

Eno...if you plan on taking a cab from the Sheraton to the pier, then you do not need to purchase round trip shuttle tickets. You can purchase one way shuttle tickets from the airport to the hotel for $9 each. We stayed at the Sheraton last month and on that particular day we were the first shuttle stop from the airport. It just depends on what hotels the other folks on your bus are heading to.

BUT, since there are three of you, I would just hop in a cab at the airport and head to the hotel. I believe the fare would be about $30, or almost the same as three people paying for the shuttle.

I recommend a cab or limo. Much faster and less expensive with three of you. Be careful when you exit baggage claim because there are individuals who will try to steer you towards the shuttle. A taxi is about $25-30 from the airport to Waikiki. If you look online at Oahu Gold and 101 Things to Do on Oahu you will also find discount coupons for limos and taxis. Have fun, Cherie
