Fort Lauderdale Airport Car Rental

Hi,

 

I'm looking to rent a car for 2 days pre-cruise. Any thoughts on how best to go about this? Is it best to rent and return the car to the airport, or are there rental companies with drop-off locations and shuttles to the cruise terminal?

If you rent from national online and you use the fort lauderdale airport as the pickup location FLLT01 and then FLLP05 as the drop off location. They are both at the airport but by using the different dropoff location they provide free transportation to the pier. This is per an email I had from National Car Rental because they show a location at Port Everglades.

all the major rental companies have a free shuttle from the airport to the pier--imo i would drop the car off at the airport location and use the shuttle because of the hassle of driving a private car onto the pier---always seems easier to be on the shuttle bus

Budget car rental. SE 17th/Causeway location. You can pick up at the airport and drop off there, they will give you a lift to the pier.

I've booked the Budget thing, with pickup @ airport and drop-off @ 17th St. Thanks for your replies!
