S.S.Oceanlover Posted August 31, 2009 #51 Share Posted August 31, 2009 Clear? I asked for a definition of CB. I would have thought that Caribbean Princess maybe should be CP?? or maybe it's just silly me! You can't have 2 ships with the same designation. CP was already assigned to the Sea Princess. toberman Posted August 31, 2009 #53 Share Posted August 31, 2009 We'll be back before you sail and I can let you know if they had it or not' date=' Janette. :D[/color'] Thanks Janice but according to shogun, they don't have it any more on any ships! Janette
Feelin' Nauti' Posted August 31, 2009 #54 Share Posted August 31, 2009 Was told by Princess that there are no sea food buffet's on any ships any more. Where did you get this info from?
Colo Cruiser Posted August 31, 2009 #55 Share Posted August 31, 2009 But shouldn't Sea Princess be SP? If the letters don't fit the particular ship then the combo is being used on another ship.;)
hansi Posted August 31, 2009 #56 Share Posted August 31, 2009 erm........... can't quite see the logic in that. Why don't you just use the two letters, it's very confusing!

hansi Posted August 31, 2009 #58 Share Posted August 31, 2009 Oh pardon me!! If that's the case, shouldn't you have a guide somewhere so that newcomers to the forum can see which ship has which designator!
stanford's girl Posted August 31, 2009 #59 Share Posted August 31, 2009 Thanks Janice but according to shogun, they don't have it any more on any ships! Janette Shogun always posts good info but we all know that sometimes the info you get when you call a cruise line, is different than what really happens on the ship. Both of these people were actually on the Ruby within the last couple of weeks and they had the seafood buffet. So I'll be packing my nutcracker in my suitcase just in case. :) Originally Posted by BigGuy25 I was on the Ruby two weeks ago and the the seafood buffet WAS their and I enjoyed it!!! Shogun Posted August 31, 2009 #60 Share Posted August 31, 2009 Hi All, While this is no sea food buffet there is still sea food at the buffet, so if you pick only sea food then you can make your own sea food buffet. Its that simple. If you want answers just ask some one in charge of food and drink .... simples:) yours shogun

I didn't get it when I was new to the boards. Here is a link to one of the posts that show all the ship abbreviations (3rd post down): http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=805144&highlight=princess+ship+designations Hope this helps! :)

But posters BigGuy25 and fridaythecat.u.k both used the words "seafood buffet", which is what this thread is about. Would you care to reveal your source that said there is no longer a "seafood buffet" on the Ruby? :)

Ziggy7 Posted September 2, 2009 #66 Share Posted September 2, 2009 Well my inside Princess person said it depends on the ships Chef for each ship, it can come and go easily. I guess we all will just have to wait until we cruise and see for ourselves :p

yyzatcqq Posted September 2, 2009 #69 Share Posted September 2, 2009 I sure hope they have this on my upcoming Coral cruise. I could so tuck into a large plate full right now....... Sadly all I've got at work tonight is a salad :(

jackdiamond Posted September 2, 2009 #74 Share Posted September 2, 2009 Stanford's Girl-This reasonably depicts our buffet on the Emerald in April, except that we had lobster claws. Frankly, I would have preffered the halves. We will sail Ruby next March; and, we hope that this event will still be extant. When did you enjoy this feast? Shogun Posted September 2, 2009 #75 Share Posted September 2, 2009 Hi There, Just because Princess does not do a sail away sea food buffet does not mean that a head chef or that can not do one on his ship. yours Shogun
