Port of Cheju South Korea

Can anone help me with some port info please - just wondering if there are any shops/restaurants etc within walking distance of the port in Cheju (Jeju Port) or is it recommended to do a tour??

On HAL we took the free shuttle several miles into the hotel district where there were many shops and restaurants, but nothing else of interest.

You could walk to the smaller shopping/restaurant area close to the pier in about 20 minutes. This is where the crew went and they usually know the score.

If you want to see some of the island, museums, scenery, you would need to take a shore excursion.
