greytstuff Posted August 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2009 Just discovered this on Regent Website under Enrichment. Has anyone out there done this? Says it cannot be pre-booked, reservations can only be made on board. Sounds really neat, would like some feed back.
Rare Caroldoll Posted August 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2009 this "Enrichment". However, I have heard of dinner and a show. I THINK they have a show sometimes in the main dining room. Travelcat might be able to enlighten, or Cruisewoman.
Portolan Posted August 23, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2009 as the Gold/Platinum event (and because this was the World Cruise precursor, they had to use two nights since there were about 200 Gold and Platinum Seven Seas Society members on board!). Dinner was a special menu in Signatures and then a closed show (i.e., invitees only) in the Horizon Lounge. Both dinner and show were nice. Some mention was made of this be a test of the concept for other cruises but open to all on-board. It would be difficult to stage any form of show in Compass Rose because there is no stage area, a relatively low ceiling and difficult sight lines from the edges of the room. greytstuff Posted August 23, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted August 23, 2009 Quoting from the website: "Enjoy a special evening of fine dining followed by entertainment from some of the world's most renowned performers. Following a cocktail party, guests dine on a specially created, music-inspired menu in Signatures restaurant before being entertained by legends of the entertainment world during an intimate, cabaret-style performance in the Horizon Lounge." Then it goes on to say it can only be booked onboard. Doesn't specify that this is for special (world) cruises only. You can read the whole format by clicking on Enrichment (right above My Account) on the Home Page.
Travelcat2 Posted August 23, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2009 There will be "dinner and a show" on our November cruise. I don't plan on doing another "live from the Voyager" as I am doing that next month. However, I'll make a point to post about the dinner and show. greytstuff Posted August 23, 2009 Author #8 Share Posted August 23, 2009 Thanks everyone, now I understand it. I just hadn't scrolled down far enough to see the featured cruises. Guess we won't get to do this on our up-coming Panama Holiday cruise on Mariner. Oh well! Sounds great though.
