There was a teeny tiny little shop on a back side street that had bags stacked on top of one another that were a bit dusty and dirty somewhere along the main drag, but I couldn't remember exactly where it was. It was down an "alley".

I read a post recently discussing the sale of illegal copies in Europe, Italy to be specific, I think. It is not illegal to sell knock-offs but it is illegal to buy them.

 

The poster stated that the police would arrest the purchasers, levy a heavy fine, and return the merchandise to the vendors.

 

Quite a racket.

And since I'm retired my job didn't nor could it go to China. I sold American built houses.

Finally I don't understand how any one with any self respect would want to display as original fake handbags or Hong Kong Rolex watches. Buy the best you can afford and wear it with pride no matter whether it's Martha Stewart from KMart or a Seiko.

I know I've posted this here before, but it is not illegal to bring in knock-offs for personal use. Limit one item per type of item, i.e. one purse, one hat, etc. per person.

 

Go straight to the source, US Customs. (Fairly large pdf)

One of our favorite liquor stores, Caribbean Paradise, on Front Street, has some knock-off purses. Go to the very back and around the corner to the right.

Steve: Since you asked... "I'l" is spelled with 2 "L"s and the abbreviation for kilobyte is "KB" not "k".

 

Lastly, I respect your opinion to wear with pride whatever you can afford be it Martha Stewart or Seiko, so please respect my opinion to wear what I want to wear whether it be real or a knock-off. What I'm asking about doesn't harm you, so stop trying to force your beliefs on everyone else. I'm surely not sitting here trying to force or convince you to wear a fake Rolex, I simply asked if anyone knew where I could get one.

It is to the left when facing the Court House. About 20 doors down on the left, just past the Casino Rouge et Noir.

shop there, which we always go to,but cant remember the name.

When do you leave for st martin?

I can post the name and address when I return.

On a side note, I think its pretty funny that Msteve,is complaining about purchasing knockoffs, but he buys his prescriptions in Canada, and hides his beer/wine, in his suitcases before boarding the ship. Doesnt mind ripping off the american pharmacist, or cruise lines. check his posts!!!

 

and as far as DonaldSC ....check his posts, he is nothing but mean ,nasty and insulting in everything to everyone!!!

the American pharmacists and drug companies are ripping you off? How come Walmart was able to drop the price of generics to $4 for 30 day supply when they charged a lot more in the past. And many supermarkets have matched their pricing. Maybe there is hope that Obamacare will bring down pricing so we pay what Canadians pay for the same product. Of course the Palinistas and Rushians will called it socialism.
