big_duck Posted August 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2009 Half Moon Cay is a private island owned by Holland America that is used by Carnival. Anything for sale on the island can be purchased using your ship card. A free barbecue lunch is provided. If you rent a cabana, some non-alcoholic drinks and snacks are included. pjsugg Posted August 23, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2009 We rented a cabana with another couple and would not go there if we couln't do it again. It is an awesome island, and the ship brings the food, the drinks and we absolutely loved it. Patti
salty dingo Posted August 23, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 23, 2009 There is a beautiful beach, perfect sand, and lovely surroundings. All the food is brough over from the ship - meat is grilled on-site. Mostly picnic-type food. They have a small village area, a beach bar, children's and adults swimming area, trails to walk, and several excursions are available.
