4merlurker Posted August 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2009 I recently saw the cutest "babydoll" style coverup and would love to buy it for my cruise BUT, the "tubetop" style top is not big enough to accomodate "the girls" if you know what I mean. :o When i put it on it looks like a maternity outfit. The gathered part doesn't come down low enough. I'm not sure if you can picture what I'm talking about but if you can have you seen these?? Where? Thanks, Connie
momofmeg Posted August 29, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2009 I have seen some mini sundresses in that style at Marshall's that would make good coverups. Not sure if they have the room in the bust area you need though. One thing I learned from WNTW-is those empire style tops/dresses, is you need the bottom part to be more a-line than gathered-especially full gathers-full gathers tend to look like maternity wear-and makes you appear PG. (Not a good look on me at 50 plus)
cb at sea Posted August 29, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2009 If that style doesn't look good on you, try a different style! Not all folks can wear the same thing!
msm713 Posted August 30, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 30, 2009 I bought one a few weeks ago at Sams Club. Was only $7.
Blue0824 Posted August 31, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 31, 2009 I saw some today on Target on sale. I just checked online and they have someone online too, all under $20. Maybe this link will work to the swim cover ups: http://www.target.com/Coverups-Swim-Women/b/ref=sc_fe_l_3/188-4698742-4101237?ie=UTF8&node=13680261
