We never experienced too big or too loud .i In fact just the opposite on RCL & Celebrity ships .We would not sail on the huge ships but their mid size are very very good in all regards .

Alaska cruises & land trips are some of the most unique in the world . imo 14 days inside cabin is more to see & do . We encourage people to also do a self driving trip from Anchorage to Fairbanks Alaska with a several day stop in Denali National Park . We have stayed at the Denali Lake vies inn just 15 minute drive past the park entrance . It is a trip;e diamond triple AAA Bed ^ breakfast . over looking Lake Otto . Best deal in town ,very clean & inclides breakfast .Right next door is a ATTV place to rent a Rhino to take a trip in the Tundra. If you cruise into Seward or the other port go on the internet & look for mini bus service from Anchorage . book it early & get better pricing . It is a fabulous road trip & do the animal Rehabilitation center tour .It is definitely wortg while . In Denali make sure you see the dog sled Demonstration . Have Fun & Enjoy Alaska .We been there 5 times all in May

Yes we certainly can make accurate comparisins being 3 star on HAL ,diamond on royal ships & Elite Plus on Celebrity ships .. There is truly no bad ship .what is different is what a person gets use to in selection of cuise lines

RCLs new huge ships are a destunation in themselves . however ,RCL does have ships that are similar in size to some HAL ships . We found RCL food as good as HALs MDR food . RCL has stage shows every night where HAL does not have stage shows every night . we also found that Celebrity ,RCLs upgrade cruise line was excellent in all regards .

It has been a while since Holland america had announced that broadway style shows & other acts would be performed on the world stage . We hope that this is true .

The only issue that would have us not take this March cruise wold be serious health issues . We are looking toward this cruise & seeing the humback whales & their calves in the waters of Cabo San Lucas ,Mexico

We take some thing very similar on board & have had no problems ever

Thank you . Well we will find out in March on Koningsdam on the 7 day Mexico cruise . We hope that HAL keeps their word or we have to reevaluate where we spend our monies

We have not been able to sail recently since we understood that HSL mamangement was reitrodicong Broadway style shows to the World Stage showroom . We are booked in March 2025 Koningsdam & Jan 2026 Nieuw Amsterdam What are you experiencing on HALS various ships in the wsy for shows in the evening ? TIA

Glad you found a cruise itinerary that suits your needs . As far as [ep[le are concerned most are easy to get along with on these cruise critic boards & then there are the those that needle people

We will not deal with Holland America representatives unless we get a person in the USA on the phone with HAL .Otherwise we go through our TA 7 that takes care of any problems

So many opinions , our only wish is for HAL to bring back to San Diego ,once Konningsdam is gne ma Pinnacle class ship . Reason is we and so many other crusing guets like only Pinnacle class ships mow becuuse of all the extra public areas and activities . I was not aware that HAL was charging for steak in the MDR .Other lines that is not so unless the steak was ordered from a special restaurant menu

We don't under stand why Carnival Corp has not added any new ships since Rotterdam wasput into service ;as the lead time to bring on new ships is years in advance .So ,If I read the tea leaves right , the future for HAL is uncertain .Can ny one give us more information on New ships for HAL?
