Thanks so much for posting this. They all sound delicious, but alas I have to stick to lemon water..elk.:o

Thank you for all the information and the time spent to accumulate it.:D

Agree will others above: A balcony cabin is fine.
Agree with others and have a great honeymoon:cool:

1. create a thread on cruise critic
2. email the ceo
3. create a facebook page for disgruntled cruisers
4. board whilst wearing a hijab
5. enjoy your cruise, you win some, you lose some.
Actually, the best way to go is once you are on board to talk to the concierge in Michaels Club, mention your frustration and things may happen to make you pleased again.
Good Ideas except talking to the concierge in Michael's. He won't have time to talk to anyone with 36 more cabins being added to use a room that will only be able to seat maybe 40
But non the less don't sweat the small stuff and enjoy your cruise.

All I can suggest is watch with diligence, Celebrity has changed a lot in the last few months:mad:

I think that's true, but I think X is accenting more on the "new revenue sources" than being concerned about retaining current customers...especially those that get the "free perks" ie, booze, internet....
I am agreeing more with you. Not that our perks necessarily are gone, They have been cheapened. I never wanted any part of Carnaval (almost now X) and completely enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, solitude of certain places on ship and the excellent menu and preparation and display of the food. These were most important to me. I was very disappointed with Luminae. Dishes were ok but atmosphere was downgraded to a bistro instead of a five star restaurant. The tables were too close, and too small. The elegance was gone. DH and I ate in Normandy or our cabin most times. We did have a wonderful dinner with the Captain, which I understand is no longer available. Our last cruise to Bermuda I found the guests to be rude, loud, obnoxious and filthy. The bathrooms by the Photo area were disgusting. Why? My DH and I are booked for a Bermuda cruise again this coming June. I don't like to judge a book by its cover, but from what I have seen already this cruise does not look promising. Will try to have an open mind...but come on not even a greeting with a rose when you book a suite. Not promising at all.

To be safe, just print the tags, wrap them in hefty snack bag (almost same size) poke hole and tie to luggage. Haven't lost a tag yet:D

We were on the Zenith when the twin towers were destroyed. We have been on the Horizon also (sister ship) always wanted to cruise on Century. Time flies as does opportunity. We still have our memories.

Looks like the OP is staying in a Fort Lauderdale hotel which would mean Infinity tomorrow.
Happy sailing,
Jenna

Every time I call up to their center I get someone who is rude, not very knowledgable, and does not want to help or make me feel like I am a valued customer. Very disappointing. Thoughts? Anyone have similar experiences with the call center reps?
No, NEVER. I called the call center back in 2014 because my TA was a blithering idiot, never available and flat out rude telling me she did not make enough to be available for questions. It was my vacation planner Dan Arribas @ Celebrity I found to be EXCEPTIONAL. He took over my account and has handled my last two trips and is handling my trip in June 2015. All questions always answered correctly, helps me when the web site doesn't quite work and has never, not returned my calls in a timely manner. I was so impressed with him that I took the time to contact the main Office in Miami to commend him on jobs well done. His direct # is 1-888-307-8413 X13353 Give him a call, I am sure you will be impressed.

Have a great time and a great Birthday!
May also be to take advantage of Cuba should it open, from what I understand the Ports in Cuba won't handle the big ships, so Summit will be the only smaller X ship in the region. SO they need to rethink a lot of itineraries to plan for it.
Thank you, sounds reasonable -
R/T Cape Liberty on Summit to Bermuda. Just can't get enough. We don't like port intensive cruises and 7 day is just perfect. And as you can see we listed our Celebrity Cruises. Bermuda favorite place, Celebrity favorite cruise line and Summit our favorite ship.:D PS..Royal Suite our favorite cabin

We do, too, and last night while we were packing, my wife says "My heart isn't in this". That was my thought, exactly, but I didn't want her to know. We do three in a row starting next month which will be another pause for concern, but I really think it's time to rethink our vacations. It's been fun but it's getting to be too much of a good thing.
We feel the same and have made the change. One cruise a year but in a royal suite. Turkey was great, just ate the last of it..back to mac's and meatballs waiting on Christmas capon and ham. Have a great cruise

You will get these perks as well as just about anything you'd like.
Your suite comes with:
-Unlimited Specialty dining
-Premium Beverage Package
-In suite course by course dining by your butler
-coupons for laundry, discounts on wine, and more
-Unlimited mini-bar restocking
-Butler service
-Private Michael's Club Concierge lounge with a very helpful concierge
-True Priority boarding, disembarkation, and at ports
-Two bottles of spirits in your cabin with mixers
-Shoreside concierge who contacts you about a week before your cruise
-Dining in Luminae, the suite only restaurant (very nice experience)
-Champagne in your cabin
-The perks above, afternoon tear service, Lattes/Cappuccinos in your cabin (butler served)
More I am sure I am missing.
You should have an amazing time. You can do a search for "suite" on this board and pic a few threads to read and learn more about the "suite" life
Congrats and happy sailing,
Jenna
Thanks Jenna, as usual you are right on. Still very curious as to what the interior changes are to the Royal suite. Looking forward to your review and pics when you are on Infinity.
Have a great cruise.

June 2014 we were also select dinners. Upon embarkation we went to the MDR where the Matre'd was there with his dinning chart. We requested traditional dining for 6pm and was immediately given it and placed with friends. The only thing that was not changed was the gratuities. They had been pre-paid.
-
The rules specify no shorts, except they are allowed in the MDR during breakfast and lunch. But I will tell you Bermudians have worn Bermuda Shorts (dress shorts) in the MDR in the evening along with a dress shirt and jacket and have not been turned away.
-
Never like the idea of cotton swabs and cotton balls un-package for all to touch. These are quite obtainable on the outside, cost little to no money and weigh nothing when packing them. Shampoo, soap and body lotion have always been in the bath.:D
-
A rip under the buttocks, a stain and rip on the front thigh, and a shredded hole (preferable by bleach) around the hem of the leg and last but not least the front zipper a bit large as to not lie flat with a cost of over $75.00 a pair (bring receipt) you have designer jeans. Oh one more thing that is most important, please don't come to dinner without them. Bon appetite!:D

We are sorry you are experiencing this negativity from some of the staff and do hope the food does show signs of improvement for you. Hope your trip gets better;)

Most elite perks come with a coupon sheet. My mother in-law is elite and I am 12 points away. Generally there are two sheets of coupons, we only had one. That was last year, with all the new perks it might be diferent:rolleyes:
