  1.

There are 2 US type plugs and one European plug. I used a 4 port USB adapter and did purchase it from Amazon. My Butler did inspect it and it is allowed. No longer are surge protector strips and extension cords allowed. We sailed to Bermuda first week June 2015. Hope this helps

  2. I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. Computers do not make things easier and am very surprised that there is not a firewall to stop anyone from making these mistakes. Have your TA keep up the search for a CS. Usually there are cancelations when full payment is due but you have to be prepared to jump at it. Good Luck and enjoy whatever cabin you are assigned.

  3. Our upcoming cruise has always been linked to my Celebrity account. My husband signed up for his own access so he could view it too and it removed the reservation from my profile. We are both on the reservation, shouldn't we both be able to view it from our own access or is this another website problem with Celebrity Cruises?

It has always been this way for us. I could make the changes DH could only SEE the reservation. Hope this helps.

  4. I doubt that your perks on account would be any consideration. Though who knows the magic formally to cabin assignments.

However the Suite Perks FAQ does state that people in RS will get extra OBC to make up for the beverage package under the 123 program, so I would think the same would apply here - so they have already answered the question relative to "what about value for my beverage perk that I'm not getting." so they don't need o avoid such situations, as they are prepared for them. My guess is this is a conversation with e Michaels Club concierge once on board to make happen.

You will definitely not get any refund of the BBB paid up front.

One thought may be, they upgrade whoever has paid the most to date, so perhaps as you took all 3 BBB, you paid more than other GTY assignments. Ot maybe the earliest bookers get it, or maybe the highest level Captains club members get them, or maybe they leave the RS all open to do deep cleaning of the cabins while under voyage..

But again, who knows - its all voodoo.

    Yup! All of the above:o

  5. I've been a member on CC for 15 years, and when I first started reading and posting, I found members to be informative, courteous, rarely snarky, and eager to share their valuable cruise information.

It's unfortunate that so many people live with a sense of entitlement and wrapped up in their "me" world.

Do I miss the "good ole days"? Yes and no. Yes...because people were kinder to one another...no...I like change and value it's worth.

    Karyn,

I am from the Woodstock/Vietnam era. I thought that was a real messed up time. Now more than ever, everything is upside down crazy. I say, if people feel they have to vent, so be it. What might be minor to you and me, might be massive to them. There are tooo many rules for everything and always an exception to them. As you say, stagnation is not the answer, but what is! I can't miss the old days, they bought too much sadness and despair to the new days. I am praying for change, for the better!

  6. Omg this thread is too funny! But seriously, celebrity boasts about their fine linens. How sad they are trying to save money by not prepping beds with top sheets. And what's next? Do we have to bring our own pillow and TP?

I like the linens on Celebrity and really appreciate the fact that the duvet has a nice white cotton cover that can easily be washed. I always hated quilts or bed spreads because you never knew what was on it last. This way I know the sheets and covers are definitely washed in very hot water and makes me sleep better at night. Get very paranoid when I think I am being scoped out by those blood sucking vermin. Was told by an exterminator that if you have white sheets and blankets you can always tell if you have unwanted guests. As for TP always carry a roll just in case!

  7. LOL!!! My beverage of choice is much easier.... Vodka on the rocks with a twist; if all else fails I will make a martini using whatever juice I have in the fridge.

I'll probably turn in that liter of scotch for another bottle of vodka.

That can be done and order in the twists. I received an 8

' plate of sliced lemon and limes with saran wrap over it. Stuck it in cooler lasted 4 days. Not to go off subject but tried getting Victoria1950 as my title but other people had it. Shucks! Have great cruise!:D

  8. I was able to improvise my favorite drink by having my choice of liguior . Instead of scotch I switched out for Baccardi rum coconut flavor, asking to have crushed ice, pinapple, half and half and maraschino cherries bought in and I had my pina colada any time I wanted it. Butler had no problem with this.

  9. Velvet,

Things like this get my DH up in a roar, but please be assured all will work out. Bring your documentation, be calm, you get soo much further and do what my DH does. He purchases the first night diner in Normandie, at a reduced rate (they give you 20% off in most cases the first night). This gives the Madre'd time to settle things and you have a wonderful relaxing diner that is delicious! Take a couple of deep breaths, get everything ready for the cruise and have a great time!

  10. Same for us on the Millennium, but no sheep.

I think that is one of the perks reserved for the top suites only.

Not on this suite's bed...though Luminae had a great rack of lamb and after that, went back to the suite to sleep under the sheets!

  11. When on shore we carry about $300 cash, for anything we do that is cash only. We don't use the busses because I have my walker and taxi's can get expensive. Street vendors take cash but all stores take credit cards. Our tour guide mentioned it. If you go on an excursion thru Celebrity, it is paid for on your sea-pass. Hope this helps, have a great cruise:D

  12. We will be on the Millennium in May and my husband will be celebrating his 50th birthday while on the ship (the reason for the cruise in the first place). I was wondering whether to book the Olympic for the night of his birthday (as a surprise) but would love opinions on whether it's really that good to justify the extra cost ($90) or if we should just stick with the main dining room and getting the waiters to sing happy birthday? He is semi vegetarian but eats and really likes fish (not lobster) but from the menus on the website it looks like there is plenty of choice for him.

I would have chosen Qsine but we cruised with friends a year ago and did Qsine then and loved it. Also it's just the 2 of us this time and think Qsine is better in a group.

It's not only the food I wanted to know about but the whole experience. Thanks

    IMHO Olympic all the way!
