Stay at the San Giorgio. Great hotel, breakfast at restaurant in hotel and shuttle to pier is 5 minutes. Beautiful beach, Boardwalk across the street and hotel is lovely. We spent a nice day before cruise in Civvitevecchia. Walked around town, free museum, gelato.... Very nice.

If they traded ships Captain Peppas would go to Eclipse not Silhouette, or am I wrong? Who is currently Captain on Silhouette? Thanks!

What a great thread! My "fav" would be a tie between two great ladies on Summit: Ashley, the wonderful Captain's Club Hostess, and her friend Jole -- who, I understand is no longer with X, but was an amazing Michael's Cub Concierge!

Sailed with Jole at New Years cruise on SIL. She is the Michaels concierge.

They are told not to take anything / envelopes without it being handed to them.

I hand the envelopes to that person at the end of the cruise.

1. Adapter converter (love my Belkin) for outlets.

2. Extra camera battery.

3. Fresh wave deodorizer for the bathroom. I leave one and a refill for the next guest.

4. 3M removable hooks and sticky dots for holiday decorations.

5. Nice notecards and envelopes to write a note to a favorite butler, waiter, attendant.

Roped off area on chic nights have been moved to 5th floor of theater.

We were also on thus cruise! Had a fantastic time. Excellent service & food. Disembarkation was a mess. Booked next New Years too!

We enjoyed the Hilton Molino Stucky on Guidecca Island. It is an old building that was transformed into a fancy hotel, and it has its own free shuttle to Saint Mark's. I don't know how it compares on price, because we have been able to use Hilton points.

It is wonderful! It was a flour mill before. Rooftop pool! Wonderful views! Wonderful restaurant. In the AM get the yogurt Kir that's in a glass jar. Best yogurt ever.

We were in a RS 12/27-1/3 - bulgari back in suites. Same as before. Shampoo and conditioner bottles looked a bit bigger.

We were on the same cruise. I too am from Chicago and organized the cabin crawl for the roll call. It was a great cruise! Great staff, food, activities and fun.

I've received generic celebrity emails & in a RS - but not one from a shore side concierge. How would I differentiate between the emails?

Does the MC concierge still contact guests before embarkation?
