  1. I thinks it great cc are updating their photo/videos.  We are off to see the annual  Sculptures by the Sea exhibition at Bondi Beach this weekend and as you all know, I don’t post one photo when I can post many…

Looking forward to your always exceptional review Greg and wish you both a smooth boarding process.

    ———.      ——-

I want to share some interesting news.I read on line recently that a Documentary film maker is in the process of making a film about a park in Brooklyn,NY that was frequented by many people in the 1960’s.He was looking for people who went there at the time that he wanted to interview for his film.I spent a lot of time there playing tennis, basketball, handball and softball in the 1950’s and 1960’s.I googled the filmmaker and saw that he has made over 20 films on various subjects.I e-mailed him which led to many back and forth e-mails.This past Thursday he came to my house and spent three hours interviewing and filming me.

Coincidentally one of the Photographers working for him is a guy that I have known over forty years.

On Friday he e-mailed me and said that I will be in the film which he hopes to finish by the end of the year.

Very interesting.  Love these type of documentaries.

So here is my daughter's newest family member.

Meet Leah, a sweet 9-month old rescue.  Part Lab, part something else.

Leah gets along quite well with her siblings, kitties Luca and Sam.  At least that's what my daughter claims!

    Kids are over the moon.

Welcome Leah.  She is a sweet looking girl. No doubt she will bring a lot of joy to the family.

We love the interviews and the conversations we have had with the artists, we were sitting next to the drummer from the Guess Who in the suite dinning room and had a long conversation with him , I asked him about playing in the White House while Nixon was president and he mentioned smoking grass with some of his family. Another time one of the lead members of America asked us how we liked his show in the suite lounge.

My DH and his mate go to a lot of gigs and he will often chat with a  band member before or after.  Conversations are always appreciated by both.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all the pictures of the Northern Lights. After seeing the pics posted last night, I went outside around 11:00 pm and then again at midnight but saw nothing. Not sure if the light show was over by then or is there is too much light pollution in my area. Or  maybe it was just bad timing.

Does anybody know if it's supposed to happen again tonight?  It's supposed to be a crystal clear night.

Have a look at the Aurora APP.  That’s what my DD & friends use.

    @Ozark_Kid

obviously your health and comfort are far more important. No doubt it was a heart-breaking decision to not only cancel Bella but stop cruising all together.

I hope you will still continue to post here to keep us up-to-date on your journey as well as the most adorable grandchildren ever......and of course, the Dad jokes that never fail to put a smile on my face.

+ 1 @Ozark_Kid &  I was wondering if you had anything you would like us to post photos of for you?  OB gets lighthouses and Greg gets the ship lines, liquor and Christmas….Is there anything specific that we can share that can brighten your day? or you would like us to post photos of that you can share with your gorgeous grandkids?

  8. If anyone is interested, this is the walk we did:

Parked at trailhead of The Basin walk (9) walked 2.5km along the road (early when it was just cyclists on the road) to the Bairne Trailhead (1) then walked down the Bairne Trail to  (3) walked down the Soldiers Point track to the lookout.  Then back up to (5) then through an overgrown bush track all the way down to the water and around to (6) and ferry to (7) The Basin then back uphill to (8) Aboriginal site and finally to car at (9).  DH and I got home and promptly fell asleep for 2hrs!

For overseas visitors who wantto visit The Basin and beautiful Pittwater, they  can catch a bus from the city to Palm Beach Ferry Wharf and there is a ferry that takes you to The Basin and you can catch a return ferry an hour or two later.

And very popular spot for camping.  Rather than hike in, you can catch the ferry with all your gear from Palm Beach.FAF08EA8-C1D5-48BD-8080-34990F988806.thumb.jpeg.8acce74fe37764a988005ccbe2f282e8.jpeg

Lots of lace monitors and wallabies at sunset and sunrise.

After relaxing at The Basin for a hour or two, it was time to hike back up to our car.5A29AE9A-A6EA-4E4C-9C89-9188340EF65A.thumb.jpeg.f5ff7c1c18f1dd371da2e6ee9f6fb410.jpeg

On the The Basin walk, there are Aboriginal carvings to see.  Lots of carvings of Wallabies and other figures.

I like that 18 nighter but I would not be able to get 3 weeks off from work.   If only I was retired!

I feel your pain!  Would love to do the third cruise that @Ken at the beach posted - the Singapore to Brisbane cruise on Voyager but between DH suddenly showing an interest in road trips and my daughter wanting me to visit her  again in Canada, long cruises are just not an option atm.

Dad was telling me today, it’s 20 years since he retired.

    I’ve got 8 more years to go…
