  1. Another beautiful day in Noosa, Queensland. Still no koalas spotted in the National Park but delighted to see a pod of 30 dolphins at Hell’s Gate lookout and at Dolphin Point a young boy spotted a whale leaping in the distance, repeatedly making a big splash much to the delight of kids & adults alike. Photos from today.
  2. Last night we walked past the restaurant that we had dinner at the previous night. They had a new sign out the front….
  3. Seen today - 2 beautiful pods of dolphins, 1 whale which we heard before we saw, 2 lorikeets nesting in a gum tree, 2 corellas and a galah fighting over a nest hollow in a gum tree. Still on the lookout for: Have seen signs on trees stating Koala seen here recently and flashing roads warning drivers that “koalas are on the move” in the area but no sightings today whilst walking in the National Park. Beautiful afternoon at the beach though.
  4. @bobmacliberty thank you for sharing photos from your daughter’s wedding weekend. Pleased you had lovely weather, your dad & daughter dance was so special & everyone had fun. All the photos are lovely but that first one of your daughter & her beautiful wedding dress is special.
  5. @dani negreanu What a relief for your cousin and yourself with the good news post surgery. @h20skibum my sincere condolences to Susan & family. 57 is too young.
  6. Beautiful Sunday morning to fly out of Sydney. Made sure I booked a window seat on the left hand side to have coastal views all the way. Manly Beach & the beaches of the Northern Beaches (above). Long Reef Beach, Long Reef Golf Course (green patch) and Long Reef headland where we often walk Max + Collaroy Beach (below) More beaches of the Northern Beaches ending with Palm Beach. Pittwater behind. Hazard reduction/Backburning (bushfire prevention) in the distance (above). Hazard reduction/ Backburning in the the Ku-ring-Gai National Park (I am guessing) north of Sydney, seen as we flew over the city. Killcare Beach & Bouddi National Park on the Central Coast - where we holiday every summer (below) & Brisbane Water National Park Beautiful blue seas somewhere on the East Coast of Australia.
  7. Sitting at the train station right now and a group of lorikeets are flying in and out of the grevillea bush. They are feeding in pairs and fighting off any newbies that dared to join in to feed off the nectar. Noisy but colourful and entertaining to watch. The cockatoos meanwhile are quietly sitting on the fence watching the ruckus.
  8. @bobmacliberty So sorry that issues around the flight prevented close family attending the wedding. Congratulations to the new bride and groom. Hope you all had a wonderful evening and day celebrating and that very special father & daughter dance.
  9. It’s Spring here so as well as chasing planes Max had been given a bit of variety by barking at King Parrots, Kookaburras, Eastern Rosellas, Magpies, and other birds. He leaves the lorikeets and Indian minors alone as they outnumber him…
  10. Beautiful photos & have to say that even though I always book holidays/cruises direct, a TA in a situation such as you had with the Radiance would be invaluable and save so much stress.
  11. If you can find it - Broken Bay by Margaret Hickey. New release mystery by an Australian author. Set in the Limestone Coast of South Australia.
