I can't wait to be taking that same flight from Rochester, NY for the Encore TA in 2019! But in the mean time, I will be following your thread closely in preparation for my cruise on the Bliss next February.
I’m following along for the same reason I’m on the Encore TA too but I’ll be flying out of Boston. Have you joined the Roll Call?

Hotel Lloret quick walk from Plaça Cataluyna is right on Las Ramblas and it includes free breakfast if you book them on line.

I checked the First Choice Shuttle site and found this:
Pick up from Disney Resort areas and Lake Buena Vista Hotels area to Port Canaveral $35 one way/$70 round trip per person. $60 round trip when returning to MCO Airport.
They also pick up from other parks. This is very helpful! Thank you everyone.I checked out reviews for this company and they weren’t very favorable just so you’re aware. [emoji20]

Hello everyone,
I am looking for suggestions for the dim lighting situation on the Epic. We cruise at the end of April. I did read reviews prior to booking, but was wondering if anyone brought supplemental lighting, such as LED puck style lights? They are battery powered so that should be allowed, I think. I booked an inside cabin, because I never used the balcony on my last cruise, and figured I will be using the room mainly to sleep and shower, I didn't think about how much light I would lose. I don't want to scare my fellow cruisers when I try to do my make-up in the dark;p
Any advice would be appreciated!
I found the lighting very poor for doing my makeup. I didn’t see any reviews of this till after I cruised didn’t even think it might be an issue. But I would look for a small lighted makeup mirror I don’t think the small puck ones would work as it would cast too many shadows.

Funny that you posted this in the RCCL forum as well. Maybe all the cruise lines are in league to scam us all.

How did you like spaindaytours and their guides? Thank you
The guide was great very well organized and informative. There was a different guide for the Alhambra and he was really good too.

This is the tour I and a few other took when we did the Epic Transatlantic it was s great tour left if I remember correctly around 8 and we were back with plenty of time. Even with a couple of people missing the bus to go into Grenada and the tour guide having to wait for them and take s taxi into town. It is a long bus ride from Malaga to Grenada but so worth it to see Alhambra ❤️ http://www.spaindaytours.com/malaga-to-granada-shore-excursion.html

If he wants s quiet place to read there is a spot up on deck 18 that is very quiet. You take one of the elevators out o. The pool deck and go to the front of the ship. No pool or hot tubs but it is quiet.

Its a European thing, but you need to actually follow a course of several weeks for any "benefit" to be realized. Yes, your thought on breathing salt air just being on the ship is probably correct. My mother grew up near the sea in England, and spent hours outside usually daily and she still got a goiter. Her comment to the Doctor when she was diagnosed was, "Who would have thought that would be a problem for me growing up as I did."
So the "benefit" of salt air is negligible. ;)
Salt has no affect on goiters it’s the iodine that is added to table salt that helps prevent them.

I think it’s in response to an earlier post of a couple that was getting married and they were 19 and 20 and looking for away to get the beer and wine package. And because they would be married the needing someone 21 and over in the cabin would be waived. They were asking if they needed a parental signature to get the beer and wine packages. Since parents can sign for their 18-20 year old kids to drink beer and wine on the cruise.

I just booked the Encore TA!!
The ship missed the Azores on my last TA so excited to go there.
Only 602 days to wait. Has a RC been started for the TA yet? I haven't looked.
Love a new ship TA with that new cruise ship smell! :D

I don’t have the link but I went to a paella cooking class it was a lot of fun they take you shopping for the ingredients and then everyone participates in making the paella and sangria. I think you can find reviews on TripAdvisor

Not sure I understand the excitement, the itinerary is a drag?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It’s not the itinerary it’s the ship and the excitement of being the first to cross on her. And Ponta Delgada is s pretty spot just went there on Epics last TA

Booked an inside cheaper than a studio. But I have the Epic TA booked too so I’ll have to decide between the two.

Not for MA - base fare of $1749.
Studio is currently showing as $5198. Lol.

Also post on the Solo boards you may get so good advice there. And join your roll call for this cruise there maybe some excursions you can join with your fellow ship mates.

I would check the Florida boards for transportation to Miami but I think a rental car is your best bet. Orlando to Miami is not a quick ride.

If it isn’t expired book something as far out as you can do you don’t lose it. Then you can move it out further if you need to as itineraries open up.

I was in Barcelona for the first time last November. And also read all about the pickpockets and what not. I was traveling mostly solo and meeting friends on the ship. I never felt unsafe even walking the Ramblas coming back from my paella cooking excursion at 9pm. Maybe I was crazy but it was a fun evening. This was my first international trip across the pond as well. Go and enjoy you won’t regret it! Read up on the Spain boards lots of great info there. Highly recommend Segrada Familia if you have the time simply amazing!!!!

I (incredibly selfishly) vote for New London, CT doing 14 day cruises to the ports of Bermuda and Nowhere!
In more serious news, I'm excited to book this for early 2020!
I like this idea but I selfishly vote to move the Bliss to
Boston instead of NYC for winter sailings. Why should NYC get all the fun. Then keep Encore in Miami year around.
