  1. They only show up on the app for us- if you go on the website it says they aren't open yet!
  2. Our Oasis one is 12th may so weird ours is open and yours isn't.
  3. It's not- the majority of the people on the social networking group for this page are US and it's open to all. Could be to do with it being a European sailing though?
  4. I'd been told it was always around the 1st of the month preceeding the cruise! It varies so much then.
  5. We are on Oasis in mid May and I was expecting to book shows around the start of April so not for almost two months. However, the shows have been released to book tonight! So first of all if you have an upcoming cruise get checking. Second, has this happened so early before? Does anyone think it could be in error? Or perhaps Royal is trialling releasing them earlier?
  6. How awkward for the innocent party who had been sat at that table! I can just imagine some entitled passenger demanding they leave because the table is not theirs 😯
  7. Haha! I have a 4yr old, maybe one day I'll have the energy to party again 😆(by which time maybe they will ship me off to HAL anyway)
  8. You'd be surprised how many Europeans enjoy eating that late. The UK not being included in that- we prefer around 6-7!
  9. I've sung Baby Got Back to my 4yr old a fair few times 😂😂 Kids wouldn't even know what it means and he thinks the word butt is hilarious. If the venue/event isn't specified as 18+ though then perhaps no songs with lots of profanity in them. However if I was in a venue with my son and we didn't enjoy the music we'd leave rather than suggest it should be changed.
  10. NCL MTD works seamlessly and we've never waited for a table so I don't know why Royal can't handle it. I realise the whole ship is on MTD with NCL but the core principles should be the same.
  11. Gotcha thanks. I can live with 5.30 but 5 would definitely be too early. Most of our port days are 8pm sailaways!
  12. Children not only singing but LISTENING? My lord, alert the media!
  13. When you say they wanted you there, do you mean the time officially changed to 5.30 once you boarded, or they just asked you to get there early?
  14. Thank you, hoping it stays at 6pm then. The Spanish dine late and I imagine it's also to accommodate the long port days.
  15. Sorry if not relevant to the topic of 3 dining times, but I booked early dining on our upcoming Oasis sailing in May and it's showing at 6pm which is perfect for us with a small child. But the comments on here seem to be saying early is 5 or 5.30? Do you think the 6pm could be incorrect, or do Med cruises tend to have later dining times? Our only other RC cruise we did MTD but that starts too late for those with kids.
  16. I'm on Oasis in May out of Barcelona and lobster is showing on the app menu. Could have been us British. There's a saying 'mad dogs and English men go out in the midday sun'. We see so little of it during the year that we go overboard with the sun worship when we do get sun. Other colder European countries are probably the same!
  17. When I've flown in on the day of sailing before (not recommended) I put a roll of tape in my luggage front pocket to secure the tags once landed- ended up lending it to around 10 other parties from the same flight who hadn't though through attaching their tags! You don't want to attach them before the flight as they could easily get ripped off. I now use the luggage tag holders but they aren't necessary, just a bit nicer and convenient to have
  18. Sounds like you have a good compromise with taking a little cash, but just to weigh in when we went we didn't take any at all and didn't have any occasions when we need it. Everywhere down to the tiniest places take card. I don't remember coming across any public loos that needed it, but maybe we just got lucky. Visit the oil museum in Stavanger, it's so much more interesting than it sounds!
  19. I would be absolutely spitting if I lost Bermuda for Le Havre! Oh heck no. I could most definitely get to Paris with less fuss from my own doorstep than Le Havre. Thank you I'll look into it. We have a 4yr old so always need to find something he will enjoy as well as us. Even if you are happy with the change its really not on that they aren't letting people know. You might have booked a private tour for the port and need to know to cancel it. On our upcoming RC cruise they cancelled a port but let us know immediately.
  20. We are on G435 (Oct half term) on Iona and they have just swapped out La Rochelle For Le Havre, the booby prize of European ports. Slightly annoyed but that's what happens with cruising. This may be the 3rd time I eye Le Havre with disdain from onboard the ship, or maybe we'll go crazy and actually get off this time. Just thought I'd give anyone on a similar itinerary a heads up to go and check their cruise to see if it has changed. I am on a social media group for the cruise and that's the only way I found out as one person got an email- nobody else on the group got one!
  21. Put it on the daily schedule and charge £19.99 a ticket (bring notes for gratuities)
  22. Lots of time left so fingers crossed for you! I think the seaview cabin prices are inflated due to availability but it prices at £1k more than I paid for the large inside at the moment
  23. We do need the 3 berth sorry just to clarify- we were moved from a 3 berth large inside into a 3 berth seaview. Insides are totally sold out if I do a search for a 3 berth now but there is availability in seaviews, so maybe at some point since I last looked at the booking a couple of months ago they upgraded us so they could sell the large inside again.
  24. I know they don't always, but we also had a cabin number for the large inside so for some reason they are doing them far out. Thank you both- maybe I won't tell the husband until after final payment just in case it disappears!
