Agree.  I was going to take my grandaughter on an Oasis class ship next summer, but a balcony cabin was over 4000$. yikes!

I am taking her for a week in San Diego instead, much cheaper with so much to do!

I'm kindof shocked by this comment, as my family are sailing at the end of November with adjoining OV Balcony cabins for almost $4800 CDN.  Now that includes about $400 off due to Diamond status but at $5200 CDN for 2 cabins is not nearly close to what you are quoting.

So i'm not sure where you were trying to book but that is not standard imo.

  2. With a compliment of 40 people, I’m sailing in Symphony at the end of November. Just had a few questions. I apologize If they have been answered already.

Does Symphony have a Chefs Table?

Whats the earliest you can board? (I have yet to sail out of the new Miami port)

At CocoCay, can you get a half day pass on board or on the island?

Does Royal do the “Luggage Valet” to Fll out of Miami? If so, is there a minimum time frame for your plane to leave?

thats about it, thanks in advance!!

  3. My last three cruises I grabbed my drinks either from Wonderland or the Windjammer portable bar. I must admit the WJ bar was the best since the stock was limited, and usually a top shelf brand. The bartender would seriously rim my wine glass and I had grabbed one of those big wine glasses from Chops! Lol

  4. When I was on the allure, the buffet was definitly my friend. Especially the full on charcuterie section! I had no problems substuting in any of the restaurants. I also limited my drinking to vodka/waters, sauv blancs with the odd beer and margarita.

Came off the ship 2 pounds lighter!

    Another low/no carb diet.

Sorry but it’s really not a diet. It’s a lifestyle.;)

When I lose 18lbs in three weeks while I can eat meats, veg, bacon, eggs, cheese, full fat dressings and I’m still able to drink.

Well, this is lifestyle I will love to live by.

    It definitely beats juicing!! Lol
