Agree. I was going to take my grandaughter on an Oasis class ship next summer, but a balcony cabin was over 4000$. yikes!
I am taking her for a week in San Diego instead, much cheaper with so much to do!
I'm kindof shocked by this comment, as my family are sailing at the end of November with adjoining OV Balcony cabins for almost $4800 CDN. Now that includes about $400 off due to Diamond status but at $5200 CDN for 2 cabins is not nearly close to what you are quoting.
So i'm not sure where you were trying to book but that is not standard imo.

On Allure and Harmony, I literally walked off the ship at 10-1015.
so um... ya

With a compliment of 40 people, I’m sailing in Symphony at the end of November. Just had a few questions. I apologize If they have been answered already.
Does Symphony have a Chefs Table?
Whats the earliest you can board? (I have yet to sail out of the new Miami port)
At CocoCay, can you get a half day pass on board or on the island?
Does Royal do the “Luggage Valet” to Fll out of Miami? If so, is there a minimum time frame for your plane to leave?
thats about it, thanks in advance!!

Was just on Radiance, got 50% off chefs dinner and 40% off Chops.
worked for me.

great review!! Having done almost all the big ships, Navigator is next on my list - especially for a little boys trip.
one question about CocoCay, you said you could buy ticket for the park on site. Do you know if they reduce for a half day?
cheers!

Took my first child at 14months (7 day Mariner) and then my second at 9months (Freedom), it was a chore to pack BUT we had great time!
fortunately, playgroups and the nursery were available but it wouldn't have mattered either way. it was a great time.

My last three cruises I grabbed my drinks either from Wonderland or the Windjammer portable bar. I must admit the WJ bar was the best since the stock was limited, and usually a top shelf brand. The bartender would seriously rim my wine glass and I had grabbed one of those big wine glasses from Chops! Lol

We did the Bogo with our kids on Allure last year. Mentioned the kids when we booked on board and it was $10 each. Easy peazy.
we knew the Bogo was for the adults. Still a great discount for us.

Amazing video, there’s a group of 50 sailing on her next year. I’ve now forwarded your video to the majority of our group! Great video, love the family orientation of it. My kids keep playing it!
thanks again.

On my last Cruise, HOTS, I had prepurchased the Refreshment package and my buddy had nothing. I just went to the pool bar on the second day and they upgraded me without any problems. Didn't even question me about my roomie. So I know first hand that you can.

I've been in Allure x3 and Harmony X1 and since reading this review, I will forevermore be calling Rising Tide the Uber Bar.
Cheers! Loving the review!

Have seen the Ocean Aria and Fine !ine and although I liked them both I though Aria was superior by a long shot.
I thought Grease was just ok and I really miss Chicago. By far the best show on the Oasis classes.

I think someone just woke up from their “coma”
Wow.

Yep tht pub crawl was awesome!

Did allure 7 months ago and harmony 4 months ago. Definitely had the tapas menu.

I know that switch sucks but time to make lemonade out of lemons.
Seriously, do a foodie tour. They are amazing, inexpensive and they fill you up with some amazing ingredients!
-
Ya, I buy the hard plastic ones and reuse them. Most places in my city have gone away from straws. Which I’m very happy about.

I don’t care what the haters are going to say but I ALWAYS give my kids soda cups. Of course they don’t drink pop and just get flavoured water.

Lucky people, my son was 2 weeks from his bday and they wouldn't move him up....

When I was on the allure, the buffet was definitly my friend. Especially the full on charcuterie section! I had no problems substuting in any of the restaurants. I also limited my drinking to vodka/waters, sauv blancs with the odd beer and margarita.
Came off the ship 2 pounds lighter!
Another low/no carb diet.Sorry but it’s really not a diet. It’s a lifestyle.;)
When I lose 18lbs in three weeks while I can eat meats, veg, bacon, eggs, cheese, full fat dressings and I’m still able to drink.
Well, this is lifestyle I will love to live by.
It definitely beats juicing!! Lol

in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
here's another question to tack on to this.
I know you can bargain on Specialty dining, on the first day, has anyone bargained on the drink package?
