  1. We were on this cruise, too. Totally different itinerary than we had originally booked. We didn’t write to Mr. Bayley, but did go to Guest Services with issues regarding the port fees of Costa Maya so they could “address them promptly “ as stated above. They promptly told us there would be no refund of port fees. End of story. 😏

I know that you have to make reservations here now (and evidently nearly impossible to get them), but is there a bus route to get there? Would be looking for a stop in walking distance of the Bamboo Waikiki on Kuhio Ave. Have looked at the bus schedule, but sorry, find it confusing and can’t figure it out. Thanks
  5. I am so glad to hear this information regarding an ArriveCAN for one way cruises from Canada!! There have been several debates regarding cruise line requirements and ArriveCAN 72 hours before embarkation. Simple enough to fill out when you fly into Canada, but in preparation of an upcoming cruise I was trying to get a handle on a trip leaving from Canada and disembarking in Hawaii. The example I saw let you check if you were entering Canada by land, plane, or marine. (Perhaps there is an updated version that is different now). But everyone was insisting we needed to fill one out and it just wasn’t making sense to me. So thank you very much!
  6. I think that’s the best option, too, and I thought about calling as well! Best to get the information right from the horse’s mouth.
  7. I have no problem with filling out the second ArriveCAN before the cruise if that’s required, but can someone tell me what to pick to get started. The option ‘entry by marine’ doesn’t seem right for embarkation. As you proceed further, will it accept answers regarding a cruise leaving the country? Has anyone actually had the experience using the ArriveCAN before boarding to cruise to the US?
  8. Thank you! Yes, I will do the ArriveCAN before my flight (and upload vaccination info) and then upload Covid test results on the RCCL app for the cruise. There is no appropriate place on ArriveCAN to indicate you are leaving Canada on a cruise ship so I was stymied. Glad to know I don’t have to worry about that. Thank you all for your responses and helping me out!
  9. I’m sorry, I’m still not clear on this. So since our cruise is leaving Vancouver and ending in Hawaii, we will not have to fill out a second form? I can’t find a place on the ArriveCAN which would fit this situation. It looks like it’s only if you arrive in Canada by cruise ship. Sorry to be so thick headed. 🤪
  10. So I’m a little confused. We fly into Vancouver a couple days before we board our ship to Hawaii. I understand regarding completion of our arriveCAN within 72 hours of our US flight. (Looked at the very helpful link that was posted-pretty straightforward-thank you very much!) However, I’m not understanding how to complete a second arriveCAN before boarding as it only asks how you are entering Canada- by plane, land, or marine. Since we are leaving Canada on a vessel how do we proceed? I assume you have to record ship, date of departure, Covid results, etc. Am I missing something? Thanks for any help. Rita

  13. Can someone please give a rough estimate of how much a cab or Uber would cost going from Waikiki to the airport? Thanks for your help.
  14. We are staying at the Victorian Hotel on Homer St. Reasonable, good reviews, and pretty close to the cruise port.
  15. Sept 23 Hawaii cruise on Radiance is not showing up for me.

    Excursions

We are on the Radiance of the Seas in Sept 2022 on a cruise that leaves Vancouver to Hawaii. As of today, RCCL has not posted any excursions (which I find a little unusual at this point in time). However, as first time visitors, I would like to start making some plans and am looking for your suggestions regarding favorite things to see or tour guides that you might recommend in the ports we're visiting. We are spending 6 days in Honolulu post-cruise and I think we've got our time there figured out. We're visiting Kailua Kona, Hawaii ; Nawiliwili, Kuauai; Hilo, Hawaii; Lahaina, Maui Thanks in advance for any tips!!

    Getting around

We are staying 7 days post cruise in Waikiki and we’re thinking we could walk, bus or Uber to many places. Would we be able to get to places such as the Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor by public transit? We’re doing a luau but will buy tickets with transportation included. We might want to rent a car for the last few days to sightsee further out and also use it to get to the airport. (Our flight isn’t until late so we would have a place for our luggage after hotel checkout, too). Car rental seems most reasonable if we pick up/return to the airport. Could we take a bus from Waikiki to the airport to pick up a car? Thanks for any insight!
