Thank you everyone for your responses. We were certainly going to declare the meds, but at this late date (flying on Saturday) I was unsure about getting physician’s letter. Although bulky, it’s simple enough to leave medication in original containers. Thanks again for your feedback.

My husband takes several medications including Trulicity. Whenever we’ve flown or cruised before, we transferred the pills to one of those daily pill boxes so we didn’t have to take so many bottles with us. But since we are entering Australia at the start of our cruise , do we need to take all the bottles or could we take pics of the bottles or get a list of meds from the pharmacy? And I’ve heard that it might be necessary to actually get a doctor to list the meds? Anyone have experience with this? Thanks

So we are US citizens cruising from Sydney to NZ in January. We applied (and were granted) an NZeTA but I am second guessing myself now. Is this adequate for NZ? At the bottom of our sheet it says the “NZeTA is not a visa and does not guarantee entry into NZ.” …….”If you are a cruise ship passenger you will be deemed to hold a visitor visa for up to 28 days when you arrive at your first NZ port”. Do we need to apply for a visitor visa or does this mean that they accept the NZeTA in lieu of a visa? Also, applied for the Australian ETA-subclass 601. Is this the correct one? Probably reading too much into these, but don’t want to get left behind for a silly error. Thanks to anyone that can help.

Lahaina tendering

So for those renting a car in Maui, just curious what you might do. We were planning to go to the Maui Ocean Center, check out Lahaina, and go to Fleetwood’s on Front St for 3 pm happy hour and then maybe dinner somewhere. Haleakala seems pretty far. After all our deliberation for renting and where to rent, I really don’t know if we truly need a car or not. Thoughts?

Clay, that sounds like what we’re planning to do as well. Maybe Rainbow Falls, a lava tube (I think the Thurston tube is closed), and maybe Liliuokalani Gardens. Just depends what time permits and how long we would like to stay at Volcano National Park. Thanks

Ok, so we have rented 3 cars (Thrifty and Hertz-Hilo, Maui, Honolulu) and on each of our confirmations it says at the bottom in fine print: “Per the State of Hawaii’s Safe Travels Program, rentals only allowed to people not subject to quarantine. A QR code from your Safe Travels Hawaii account must be shown at the location upon pick-up of the vehicle”. 😳. Anyone else see this? I figure things have changed and the websites have not been updated, but……..??

I know that this is country specific and have posted this topic on ‘Australian and New Zealand Cruisers’ forum, too, but thought maybe some Royal cruisers might have experience with this and could provide guidance. We have an Australia/New Zealand cruise in January 2023 and are getting ready to fill out applications for both electronic visas. I was under the impression that they were very simple to do and could be granted within minutes. However, after reading some posts here, I am already in a panic about getting mine. It appears women are getting caught up on the Australian application due to inputting their maiden names and their married names and it is causing considerable delays. I am one more into it. I was widowed and have been remarried for 13 years. So now I have a maiden name, the name I used in my first marriage, and my current name. My passport reflects my current name. Is there anything I should gather in advance of completing the app or a specific way to fill out the information? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated from anyone who has experience with this. Thank you

Thank you. That would certainly be simplest, but I was under the impression that you needed to list all the names that you have previously been known by.

Yes, thank you. That is unbelievable. I am under the impression that Royal wants this as well and I couldn’t figure out how to even proceed as our cruise is one that leaves Canada and never returns. (We will initially fill out a form before we fly into Canada).

Our first excursions for a Sept 2022 Hawaii cruise didn’t show up until June and they are still making additions as of a couple days ago. Never had this happen on any other cruise though. Very unusual, frustrating, and annoying when trying to plan.
