  1. Thank y'all for the info! We switched and actually just got a nice mid-ship room assigned, so we are happy. 🙂
  2. Hi! Has anyone done a guarantee deluxe balcony cabin on the Regal or its sister ships? I noticed that some cabins are forward facing and you aren't allowed to use the balcony while the ship is at sea. For this reason, we booked a regular (not deluxe) obstructed view balcony so we could choose our room; deluxe balcony obstructed view are only showing guarantee cabins. It'd be nice to have the extra room in the deluxe! Should we switch?
  3. It's a Tuesday, so rush hour traffic I guess. 😞
  4. Hi! I'm cruising on Carnival Spirit in September. My return flight is on Alaska Airlines and was changed to 11am. Is this doable? I am Platinum on Carnival so I can get priority disembarkation, and I have TSA Precheck. I was thinking of booking transportation through Carnival which would leave the port around 8-8:30am. Thank you!
  5. Once you get there, can you just go sit on the beach and rent a chair? Or do you need a day pass at a hotel?
  6. Did you ever find out anything or have you been yet? I also went on a Seavis tour previously and wanted to go back to the beach area we passed.
  7. Hi! I've been to La Romana before and did a Seavis tour to Saona Island. We passed by Bayahibe Beach and it looked really nice. Has anyone taken a taxi to that beach or done a day pass at a resort? We'll be there again in May and am trying to figure out what to do. Thank you!
  8. I recently was on the Sumitt and the Millennium for a side to side cruise. On the Summit the burger was thick and flavorless. However on the Millennium it was excellent! It was a bit thinner and it had caramelized on the outside which I refer to as meat crust lol. It just had a great taste and was night and day different than the one on Summit.
  9. I was on Summit and also Millennium in the past couple weeks and can confirm the vegetarian menu was available each day in the MDR. You'll have to ask your waiter for it as it's not in the app
  10. I got the free cruise offer on Solstice and am going next week. It's my first time getting any type of casino offer. So even though I'm at the lowly Pearl level, I'll get free drinks in the casino? Is there something on my card that will notate this...or how will they know?
  11. I was on Summit on Jan 28 and then on Millennium on Feb 3 (kind of a side-to-side or back-to-back with one day in FLL in between). I'm a meat eater and I was disappointed in the beef offerings in the MDR. No prime rib, short ribs, filet, ribeye, etc. The only steak besides the daily NY Strip was beef tournedos. The beef offerings tended towards veal and lamb, neither of which I eat. The thing I don't get is...Royal still has prime rib on the new menus. Celebrity is supposed to be the more upscale line in the brand, so why does Royal have prime rib and Celebrity doesn't? Even Carnival still has prime rib, usually served twice on a 7+ day cruise. Carnival also has short ribs and filet. I'm booked in Aquaclass on the Feb 25 Solstice cruise. At one point, prime rib was listed on the Blu menu on the app, but now it's not. 😞
  12. When getting out of the boat for Medano Beach, do you have to jump off the side or do they have a ladder you can walk down into the water?
  13. Thank you for the info! I've been on two Celebrity cruises but they were only 2 days in length and also a while ago, so I don't remember much.
  14. Same here. You can call them to make the reservations, which is what I did. I resorted to creating my own spreadsheet since they aren't showing up in my agenda. Strangely enough, the first night's reservation is showing up.
  15. Here's the part that hacks me off though. I booked a cruise with my sister and nephew a few years ago for spring 2020. Of course that was the COVID year, so it is rescheduled for this Oct on the Vista. When we booked it, they were still doing free all day room service (we booked before they even started charging for the late night stuff). Just look at the change from when we booked (and paid for a certain product) and now...it goes from all day free room service to free room service with item charges after 10pm to item charges for everything except for continental breakfast. My nephew loved ordering tuna sandwiches and cookies and sitting on the balcony late at night (he's a night owl so after midnight). It's just sad the changes that have happened in the few years since the cruise was booked! Not to mention, when we booked and paid for it, the service offerings were not slashed as much as they are now. So we are basically getting less for our money.
  16. I came here to see if others interpreted the email the same as me...doing away with free room service except for continental breakfast. It's a shame because that is something that I loved ever since my first cruise in 2005. The continual cutbacks are making other cruiselines more appealing. Others may charge a single delivery fee per order instead of per item, but it seems like less nickel and diming.
