My husband and I went to Dunn's river falls. It was great! I recommend doing an excursion, either through the ship or private. Not walking around on your own. The people will come up to you and pressure you to buy their goods and some ask if you want drugs. They are very pushy.

I wanted to do the same thing a couple if years ago, but Carnival canceled the excursion. I decided to do the cave tubing. I wasn't real excited about it. More nervous than anything. It was an awesome experience! If you can convince your group to do it I think you would enjoy it. You do get out of your tube a couple of time to explore the cave further.

My husband and I went cave tubing and zip lining in Belize a couple of years ago. It was a blast! The water in the cave is very cold, but you get used to it quickly. It was something very unique to do. The zip lining was fun too. I felt safe at all times. The scenery was great.

Anyone ever rented a car with Dollar and used their shuttle to the port? How was your experience?

My husband and I will be renting a car to drive from the Orlando airport to a hotel in Cape Canaveral the day before we cruise in April. I've heard there are some toll roads in Florida that don't have the option to pay cash for tolls. Are there any on the way that don't have the cash option. I know you have to buy something from the rental car for cashless tolls or you will pay a penalty.

I have never cruised from Port Canaveral either, and after reading these forums, have decided to rent a car when we go next year. I've always used Dollar to rent cars, and I called them, and they said they have a shuttle to the ship.

I would suggest renting a car one way. That's what my husband and I are doing in April. When you drop off the rental car, they have shuttles to take you to the port.
