  1. Then you and Tring are probably correct in assuming a P&O IT ***** up.
  2. Nope it was originally in Centuty city, but moved to Santa Clarita when P&O Princess cruises was demerged from the old P&O in 2000.
  3. I believe that Princess cruises were always headquartered in the US, even when P&O owned them.
  4. Just off Iona and there was hardly any waiting in queues, probably less than pre covid cruises for freedom dining. However we generally asked for a sharing table, but were often offered a table for two, and we only saw a pager being given out once.
  5. It comes in a e-mail which is sent the day you disembark, so either you are not signed up for e-mail correspondence, or possibly it ended up in your spam folder.
  6. Is Skys the limit the airline one with the Chinese dragons? I thought that was mainly poor but the Beijing section I thought was very good.
  7. Come come Wowzz, you know that you only booked after me, and after I told you what an excellent itinerary it had.
  8. I am not a hot curry and lager lover either, but I do expect a speciality restaurant to excite my taste buds, which both Sindhu and Epicurean have failed lamentably on our last 3 cruises. Had it not been for the ridiculously high OBC we enjoyed on this cruise, then we probably would not have bothered with either. However the Beach House and Olive grove, as well as several of the MDR meals were tasty and enjoyable
  9. I booked a Baltic cruise, our 3rd, even though I didn't really fancy having to spend 2 days in SPB. So I was reasonably happy to see it cancelled, but less happy that it wasn't replaced with at least one other port, but Stockholm and Copenhagen were to become 2 day ports instead, leaving only 5 ports in total. So I was not unhappy that P&O cancelled the cruise, and we accepted the refunded deposit, and managed to book a Princess Baltic cruise with 9 ports, 4 of them new to us.
  10. But in total they are are a minor group, so even if they all avoid P&O cruises, it's hardly likely to affect Carnivals results.
  11. For anyone really interested in facts Iona was taking on LNG from a refuelling vessel this morning as we disembarked in Southampton.
  12. I liked the old P&O themed curry nights, very tasty and enjoyable, but I find Sindhu is far less flavoursome.
  13. Stop being a spoil sport Wowzz.😁
  14. If there is to be any serious artist singing in Arvia's dome, then I do hope it's acoustics are better than Iona.
  15. It's quite desirable if legally earned, but if you ever try to bank large amounts you will find the bank asking a lot of awkward questions to ensure it has been legally earned, either by you or the person you received it from.
  16. I think Morris Dancers fancy dress might be a lot better than any suggestions so far.
  17. If Azura continues to do Malta fly cruises, then I see no benefit to P&O in having an additional ship do Med fly cruises.
  18. The spec restaurants are likely to be less busy than normal, with more children on board the pay extra venues won't be quite as popular, but the Olive Grove could be fully booked.
  19. Just had breakfast on Iona with a lady on her first cruise, and she is thoroughly enjoying herself. Her daughter worried that she might be more suited to one of the smaller ships, but she is so glad she took no notice, because Iona has so many different and varied venues, and even with her limited mobility she does not find it too tiring.
  20. On Iona at present and despite all the hype about spec restaurants being fully booked by 4:00 pm on embarkation day, that is a certainly not the case on this cruise. There is plenty of availability even into the 2nd week for most venues.
  21. Most pharmacies operate a just in time stocking procedure, I assume that is to avoid paying for high inventory. As a consequence any minor hiccup in the supply chain does lead to temporary shortages. However our chemist says that he never has to wait more than 24 hrs , at the worst, for new stock to be delivered. The media of course dont want to hear about the majority of cases, but they do love to find someone who has not been able to get a prescription filled before running out.
  22. There are some tables for 10, but I dont think there are any for 12. I think you will need to discuss this the restaurant manager once you are on board, the best option might be to have fixed table at a fixed time.
