Question here. We will be on the ship March 4th. We are in a window cabin on deck 3. Are all the cabins getting a new TV? Considering renting a fridge but wondering if it will be stocked as the fridges in the verandah cabins are. Also, I think I read that there was only one electrical outlet in the area of the desk (assume fridge would go under there) so I am concerned about plugging in my laptop. Thanks in advance for any information on these subjects.

Hi Kathi, I too tried to post on your blog but must be doing something wrong. I will be on the Zaandam March 4th in a window stateroom. I see you rented a fridge. I assume you ordered it before you got on the ship. Could you tell me where you were able to keep it and did they keep it stocked. They always have when we have had a balcony. We are 4 star and appreciate getting the items at half price. I have enjoyed reading all your adventures! Thanks!

Well, I did log in and went to my booking. I am offered Shore Excursions, Cruise Adventures, Travel Planning. Under each one are many choices but HIA is not one of them. I also get a box that says "buy now" but no choice to put in my cart. What might I be doing wrong?

Went to my account at HAL. Thought I would see what the cost would be to add HIA to my trip. Feeling foolish as I can't find where to get that information. Also don't see how to put something in my cart. It appears I can only choose "buy now". Help?

While your inside room was very nice, were you aware some of the insides on the main deck are huge! Even have a fairly large couch. If you sail on the Nieuw Amsterdam or Eurodam again, you should have a look. Enjoying your review!

I got a question that I hope will save me money. As a 4 star, I get 50% off mini-bar purchases. However I am going on a Zaandam cruise and have an oceanview room with no fridge! I know I can rent a fridge but I see in some of the cabin photos, cans of pop on the vanity. Will I be able to request diet cans of coke left for purchase. If so, I don't really need to rent a fridge. After all, we have ice. I hope my question made sense!!

Am I correct in thinking the ocean view cabins do not have a refrigerator? how does that work for those of us who are due a discount on drinks normally in the fridge?

We've had both "surf" and "premium" did not notice any difference between the two. We are early risers and it seemed to move along nicely at that time.

Disappointed! The tubs on the NS and R looked pretty nice even if small.

Considering reserving a retreat cabana on our Koningsdam cruise. Is there a hot tub in that area? I have found photos of the area on the Nieuw Statendam and the Rotterdam that show a hot tub however on the Koningsdam I can only find pictures of a platform with a green rabbit on top. Strange!! Anybody??
