  1. Thanks for the info, did you have to "prove" luggage was prepaid somehow or was it part of the system info when you registered?
  2. If you don't mind my asking, does your luggage go straight to the airport after you put it out at night, or do you have to claim it at disembarkation before it moves to the airport? Did you have to disembark at or by a certain time? Many thanks! I read their website but still wondering.
  3. Ok, interesting response via email from Port Valet. When I asked about Norwegian overall, they didn't answer and asked me what ship I was sailing on. When I said Encore, they said yes the service was available and I could sign up. I then asked about Bliss (yes), Sun (no) and Jewel (no). No indication as to why some but not others, but they did apologize for the inconvenience. Never sailed those ships or out of Seattle, anyone have a thought on why?
  4. Wanted to bump this back up to the top, have any NCL cruisers been able to use Port Valet in Seattle as the cruse season has rolled on? Thanks!
  5. Thank you so much!! Going in September! PS - is the escape room still on board? I see the Galaxy Pavilion but not sure where to look specifically for the escape room. Thank you!
  6. Hello, trying to find this in the many pages but no luck so far... when booking dining reservations (which I think you can do 130 days in advance) do you have to be paid in full beforehand (which is at 120 days)? Thank you!
  7. Boy, do I wish Norwegian would do this kind of communication. Especially since the website has been down all day. I mean I don’t expect them to reimburse for things they couldn’t control but it would be really nice if we better understood what the hell was happening.
  8. Right?? I’m still feeling blessed I’m not in that boat (no pun intended).
  9. All good, thankfully most of us slept in slept in today (not me, but that’s why I am the planner). I’m guessing will get into cabins around 11 o’clock tonight. And hey, it’s still showing 7 AM for great stirrup cay tomorrow so that’ll be fun… maybe not for me 🙃
  10. Sorry I don’t have the email, I’m cruising Norwegian but signed up via this group for texts since Carnival gave more info than NCL. It’s been a sh!t show of a day.
  11. FYI this is what they sent: Carnival Celebration 06/25/23: A final update regarding revised embarkation plans has been sent via email. Please disregard your arrival appointment and get to the cruise terminal for embarkation between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM. All guests must be on board by 11:00 PM (ET). Again, thank you for your patience. The entire Carnival Celebration team is looking forward to making memories with you this week. See you soon!
  12. Oh no that’s scary!! Not for us passengers, but I surely hope nothing happened to a diver!!
  13. UPDATE Important Information from Norwegian Cruise Line: The United States Coast Guard has closed cruise ship traffic at PortMiami due to a fatal collision involving a ferry and a small vessel. As previously conveyed, Norwegian Escape has been unable to enter the port, therefore the June 25, 2023 voyageis delayed. Our goal is to begin the check in process at approx. 7 p.m. with embarkation commencing at approx. 9 p.m. Please do not arrive to the port prior to 6 p.m. While you wait, please visit one of the local areas, such as Bayside Marketplace, South Beach, Wynwood, Downtown Miami and Brickell. We appreciate your patience and will be providing you with a $25 on board credit per person. We will provide another update in approx. 1 hour and look forwar
  14. Piece of pizza was just $9 per piece so as long as you’re not thirsty…. 😀
  15. And here’s Norwegian at 12:22. Carnival winning the info wars: UPDATE Important Information from Norwegian Cruise Line: Due to further delay of reopening Port of Miami , embarkation for today's N. Escape 6.25.2023 sailing remains delayed. We ask that you do not to arrive to the terminal prior to 3 pm. Thank you for your understanding.
  16. Just got this from carnival (monitoring) Carnival Celebration 06/25/23: We remain in touch with port officials. Salvage crews are working to remove the accident vessel from the channel. We do not know when the process will be completed, but the ship is in position to head into the port once we are cleared to do so. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide another update by 3:00 PM (ET). Please do not proceed to the cruise terminal until you receive our final update. This is not the way we expected to start your cruise, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
  17. Thanks. I was having trouble connecting apparently.
  18. Thank you for the information! We are in Miami trying to get to port, just got a notice from Norwegian saying don’t come until noon. Called the transportation company we were supposed to use and they had heard nothing about it. Went to the Miami port site and didn’t see information that fit either. Can I ask what links you are using to see what’s happening? It’s awful that happened to somebody. We actually have to check out of a hotel by 11 so trying to figure out the best course of action. sorry, I should’ve been more specific about links. That live cam maybe? That map of where the boats are? Trying to do this on my phone.
  19. Thank you, yes, that was the site I was looking at. Good to know that info, I somehow missed it! We are on the Escape leaving Miami, 25 June.
  20. I just looked at the timetables, for my cruise leaving 6/25 it is stating Amber Cove (also for the one the week prior at least....).
  21. Thank you so much for the luggage info! Just to clarify on entertainment, you CAN make just the "big show" reservations ahead of time (not the comedy shows, dinner shows, etc). Normal guests 21 days, apparently Haven guests 26 days as I just made and got a confirmation for Choir of Man. Another perk of Haven I guess!
