Went on premier cruise on the Conquest end of November. The brochure said $500 in cash. Got on the boat and they gave slot credit or casino chips. Many people were very annoyed and mad because of the false advertisement. Its one thing to say you will get casino play and another if they say casino cash and then change when you get on board. Check it out before you go but I think most of them changing to the casino credit. Have another one booked in February so will see if any different.

With the new system going in place you would think it would end all this early access nonsense. Go to room, no key in mailbox means you don't get in until 1:30. Train RS if asked to open door to say not allowed and do not have sign and sail card until 1:30. Also agree personnel at check in should tell cruisers this. Buy carnival stock. Going up because they keep laying off employees. Remember how many people use to be behind the counter to check in guests. Good for Carnival's bottom line, not good for workers.

15 of my 25 carnival cruises have been solo. They always charge double and i only get the single cruiser points. i would be diamond by now if they gave me double but that is how carnival rolls and you have to roll with it.

I am booked on the premier cruise for Nov 25th. Last week checked my offers sections and had a bunch of free interiors or $25 with $50 OBC. So that kills the if you have a cruise scheduled you won't get any free offers. I think it has a lot to do with people canceling with all the port changes and they have o fill up the ships. Have gotten offers before but have never seen this many and especially around the Holidays. I took a 5 day out of Charleston for $100 and $100 OBC. Its only an hour from my house and couldn't pass it up.

They test drove this sign in on deck 5 for dinner on deck 3 with the retro fitted Sunshine. I have not sailed on the Vista but I think from the sunshine one of the reasons was to keep the crowd away from the dining room entrance and to give them a bar and more room to wait in. I think the bar and more money to spend before dinner was the main reason. Not saying I like it but people did have many cocktails in hand while waiting and could listen to music.

Doesn't sound like a change but a saving of invitations. In both cases you mention both people in the room were platinum or above therefore invited. Don't think it would have applied if one was not at that level.

I usually get these but they are casino deals. Surprised by person who did not go. Mine always state the person with the certificate must accompany his guest. Just booked a 5 day for tax and port fees out of Charleston. Never know when they will show up on the site but i think because of many cancellations because of port changes they had to fill the boats again. Its all supply and demand.

Just received this morning that we will be going to San Juan as originally scheduled for this sailing. That's great so we will only have 3 sea days instead of 4. The itinerary doe not look so bad now after the hurricanes. I think Carnival has done a good job in the changed itineraries. Better then the 10/22/17 Oasis trip I am on, but it is a month earlier.

What is luggage valet or luggage express. Is it only available to suites and higher?

Thanks, know that sight but it is not accurate anymore with the hurricanes and changed in itineraries. I am on Oasis and they changed our port to Nassau on October 23rd. Port sight says only Conquest is docked there on that day. I think there will be many more . That's why I asked if anyone has been there since October 1st. Let me know how it is after your visit. Has anyone been to Melia since October 1st and the change of itineraries with many boats going to Nassau. Wondering how crowded it is and has anyone been turned away because of no reservation or too full?

WJ on he Freedom last year was the best of all my previous cruises. Just very good and a lot of variety

I am not a smoker and as long as they smoke in designated areas that's fine with me. But i think Oasis class ships have a lot more Europeans on it then other class ships and I believe it is not as taboo there as here. So you may just see more smokers and those breaking the rules then on other ships. Doesn't make it right but I think that is the case for so many offensives.

You walk out the gate and to the main street. Take a right and walk to the straw market. Look across the street and will see the buses. make sure you get on #10 and not #10A Tell driver to let you know when you get to breezes. If uncomfortable about that sit right behind him. have exact change. I usually give $2.00 per person. Cheaper then taxi.

Checked room rates and the cheapest is around $400 a day. Thought they would try and lure people away from Atlantis with cheaper room prices but the resort is 5 star and will attract the high rollers. It is beautiful and worth going to see and walking around the casino but you cannot access the beach or pool areas.

Got Oct 22nd Oasis ocean balcony from club royale $1400. Wanted Allure not available.

They now have something called play and repeat. I have been on many bounce backs and have not received one since my last one in May and have been on two cruises since then where I received play and repeat. As always there is no rhyme or reason. First one was no deal at all just like a casino fare. Just got one from my August cruise which was a free interior but the offers are very limited and mostly 3 days out of the west coast. A couple of 4 and 5 days but not many offers. Thing is I played more on the cruise I got just the casino deal then the last cruise where I got the free interior. Good luck

Heck, CCL since Sept 2015 is up almost 50%. Its all about when you got in but the cruise lines are killing it lately

I like to sit and watch everyone who thinks they are dressed up going to dinner. I don't think many of them have mirrors in their rooms. Dress up on carnival is just not jeans and a T-shirt although I have seen that get by at times.

Wet wipe down EVERYTHING in the room when I embark.

A bit of a hassle but after going through a buffet and touching the tongs I put my food down and find a place to wash my hands

or go back to the sanitizer.

Always wash hands after touching anything and are going to eat. slot machines,casino chips, hand railings, doorknobs.
