Stacks of lobster tail in buffet, whole lobster in Haven restaurant for suite guests.

No plans to discontinue on Getaway per hotel staff.

Perhaps it is only d/c on Gem and Breakaway?

Seriously though, at the moment, nobody knows whether second-hand inhaling the chemicals which cause the 'flavors' in e-cigs might cause cancer within 5 years.... because they haven't been here long enough.

 

That's where the worry is. We know that cantalopes can carry e-coli...so we take precautions around them. We know that slot machines can cause carpal tunnel syndrome, so we play table games... which leads to sitting too long, so we occasionally walk over to the bar.

 

The problem isn't that things are harmful, it's the insinuation that they are NOT, when in fact nobody knows yet.

We took 16106 because 16720 was taken.

We prefer the 700 side because we like to walk thru the lounge and past the concierge desk. For the 100 hall, you enter the Haven, and then enter the 100 hall.

Kinda like being on deck 15.

We like the ambiance and excitement of the different languages, the greetings, , etc.

But the suite is lovely.

Same size as 16720 on Getaway

The balcony does not adjoin anyone else- we took it because 16720 was

On Getaway there is no disparity in suite size, but the balconies in 16720 and 16106 are 4 sq feet smaller than the balconies that adjoin other balconies

I don't care about that- prefer privacy- not that one can use the balcony for much!

We were able to look at a lot of the H4 suites during turn down and the doors wide open. All the same on floor 16 at least.

Someone here went on a tour with travel agents last week.

NCL isn't a step down from the carnival experience.

Would have to say in our experience more bad guests than butlers

Our children have experienced tantrums by entitled guests that put Veruca Salt to shame.

Yelling at the pool that their drink is not right, shouting in the hallways for help)

When ice was not delivered on time, dropping wet towels outside the suite door in the hallway and cackling about it...they are usually the same folks that younger bragging about their net worth and the size of their .........portfolios at the Captain's cocktail party.

Not all suite guests are like this. But maybe some days the butlers have had just a few too many encounters with ladies and gents ( cough cough) who behave like brats .

I am with Winchester Ranger. Plus I loved his review a while back!

And dollars to donuts it is these fools who don't tip the butler staff. Or press a five into their palm and feel magnanimous.

It is also very easy to monitor with them their spending right for your stateroom or on the I concierge app.

We have OBC gifts waiting for our kids in the cabin when we cruise. Each child has the same amount. While the OBC is all actually applied to our account, they know that they have a certain amount to spend on those "extra" things that they might need - they use it in the arcade, shops, etc

It is always great to hear them discussing how to get the best bang for their buck.

Yes, very open and the toilet door is a glass with frosted stripes or some such.

We have been in this suite on all the Jewel class ships and absolutely love it.

Ours have been the villas in the Haven area. You can maintain privacy for the people in the master bedroom from the other areas, but no real privacy within the master suite. When the curtain is drawn, it simply blocks off the bed, side tables and television.

We have found them to be wonderful suites for our family. I would not want to share the master suite with someone with whom I was uncomfortable dressing in front of .

Never heard of milkshakes in the buffet or anywhere else...

Has the money been refunded to your credit card yet? I ask because we cancelled a S1 4 weeks ago today, but we haven't seen the refund yet. We're over 200 days out, so we're well outside the penalty period.

Make sure that you staying top of them. I have been waiting for a simple$500 Credit for an OBC I was purchasing for a gift. cancelled one month ago and it never showed up on my AMEX despite 3 different assurances that it would within a week. Called again today-OOPS! While they took the credit off the amenities list, the credit was never "sent over" to be processed. It is allegedly now going to be posted by end of business today. We'll see!,

I see this asked with a new question about every two weeks I guess, maybe more often. I would also then assume there are MANY folks that do not know about CC and just go with the 2 hour rule thing.

 

NCL really needs to adjust the wording. Then again, maybe they want to keep people from booking shore excursions right at the arrival time, or planning to stay too late and miss the ship. No idea.

Yet they have their own shore excursions starting at 8:30 am in st Thomas-

Whom knows WHAT these Norwegians are thinking!

We booked a private excursion on St Maarten and the operator had to point out that we could actually meet at 8|30 easily....not 10 ish...

When I packed my teens I used lots of bubble wrap but be sure to leave an air hole for them to breathe! :D

And yet again, just like any other cruise line or any other business- they offer a service for a fee and the customer can purchase the service or not as they choose. I wonder why you bother to choose to sail with NCL at all given how you feel about them. I know that if I felt that way about any company they'd be the last ones that I would want to do business with.

I play high stake poker at the Maryland Live casino on a weekly basis and got a free 7 night cruise for 2 from NCL last month. Only need to pay taxes. Going on the Gem to NE this fall and very much looking forward to it. Here I come for that lobster roll and do expect to pay $ 20 unless NCL serves it on board. Just wishful thinking :).

I LOVE that place. Was there yesterday for the first time. So clean, not smokey and great dim sum.

I'll have to sign up,for their players club and also start playing high stakes cards!,,

And this is not a pro or con smoking statement. Just an observation!

Quick like a bunny hop over to the St Thomas and St Maarten boards and the Bahamas board. You can pose this question there as well- be sure to include your children's ages and the fact that you are leaving on Saturday!!!

Also , I recommend reviews in this forum by mitsugirly and and Maja. They have some good suggestions.

You may find some of the NCL excursions sold out if you don't hustle when you get on board.

The age of your kids will also affect the suggestions you receive.

It was last week.

As you can see there is a wall in the living room bisecting the glass wall/ door, but still pretty view.

Also, the master bath shower stall window in this suite is not as wide as they are on the Jewel class.

Does NCL "sell" the automatic hand-held bingo machines? THey are the ones that do everything for you and are loaded with a whole bunch of electronic cards. Our last few RCL cruises I was amazed at families buying 6 or 9 of them at once....yeesh!

We have not been on NCL for a few years, but we had one of those on Pearl and my kids won 64 bucks- we hit on a $300 "jackpot " and had to split it many, many ways.

Probably with that old cheater geezer!!

WOW! I was excited because the next episode of FARGO is on tonight..
