  1. We sailed on Millennium, Constellation and Apex; two were b2b. Tuscan, Sushi on 5 and La Petite Chef were offered, I believe. We took them up on Tuscan only as we’ve been very happy with Luminae dining.
  2. Does anyone who has participated know if the chef will adapt the menu for vegetarians?
  3. We’ve been on 5 cruises since the restart and have been offered discounts on several, if not all, of them. I don’t recall the percentages.
  4. This is one of my pet peeves. There are so few tables there to begin with. I’ll usually just take my plate to a lounge chair and eat there. I don’t want any drama whilst cruising, but it is annoying to see the level of selfishness on board sometimes.
  5. Came in here specifically to ask about this. Glad I’m not alone. Just another day with Celebrity IT.
  6. Welcome to the club of “never go backer’s” Denny! You’re in fine company. 😉
  7. At the last minute we decided to check a bag, making sure our needs would be met if it never arrived. It made it through without incident. I did track it with air tags, which helped ease my mind.
  8. Personally, I don’t think it matters. We were on the Expedition in 2017, I think at that time, our cruise was called the inner loop..there have been multiple nomenclature changes for the various loops. Our cruise director, Monica (still on board!) told us the major difference was one saw the red footed boobies and the other the lava tubes.. Seriously, choose whatever fits your life at this point. The experience is spectacular and not to be missed! Crew is amazing and this is truly a bucket list trip.
  9. Love the Edge class ships. Eden is spectacular with its multi-level seating and view. We enjoy the expanded Retreat and Retreat deck with pool: love those swing chairs! Not all that fond of the gloomy gallery between Blu and Eden, though that’s minor. Haven’t experienced the “virtual” balconies, or whatever they are called. Beautiful ship all around IMHO.. All set to board the Apex in 7 days for a 19 day b2b!
  10. Thank you for posting your experience. We leave in two days for Europe and board on August 1 for a 19 day b2b. We’re aware of the risks and feel positive about it, but your experience is very helpful to know. We appreciate the grace and honesty in your post.
  11. Glad to hear you were treated well and have recovered. So nice to hear of a somewhat positive experience under these unfortunate circumstances. We’re doing this same b2b on August first, but in reverse. Was a bit worried about what conditions we’d face if we became ill. Thanks so much for sharing.
  12. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experiences in going lightly. These tips are very helpful and I do believe we can do it! These aren’t expedition cruises, however we’re not doing any formal nights. We do plan to spruce up a bit for dinner and will pack mix and match clothing. We’ll have laundry available also. Never thought of dance shoes..will have to investigate!
  13. Do you have any other packing tips or use a special system? We’re heading to Amsterdam for 4 nights, then a 12 day cruise to Iceland and Ireland and continuing on a 7 day Norwegian Fjords. I would love to take only carryons and backpacks. I know layers are necessary, but I’m having difficulty wrapping my head around it all. We leave in 10 days and will do a prepack tomorrow. 🤞
  14. We’re going on a b2b Ireland/Iceland and Norwegian Fjords cruise (19 days on ship) with 4 nights in Amsterdam prior. I’m desperately trying to figure out how to pack adequately. We’d really like to do carryons and backpacks only, considering current airport problems. All the layers and need for waterproof clothing is throwing me for a loop though. Has anyone actually done this?
  15. We’re in complete agreement with you. We prefer Luminae above all other venues. Service, food and ambiance cannot be beat. Your photos are mouthwatering 🥂
  16. Congratulations on your successful bid! We love the Celebrity Suite. In Luminae you may also request the vegetarian menu for additional options.
  17. Yes, there is some..I was hoping for more. They’re the first taken.
  18. Your pictures are beautiful! It doesn’t look as if there have been any changes to the Retreat deck from the Edge; if so they appear minor. Do wish they’d added some shade.
  19. We’re excited. This is our third attempt to do Iceland due to pandemic cancellations. Keeping our fingers crossed.. We can’t wait either!
  20. We’re on the Apex August 1st and 13th cruises and eager to follow along with you.
  21. Thanks, Jim! Will be ordering them tonight.
