I had requested a complete print out of out final bill well after a year had past. I gave the the info I had, cabin#, date of sail, ship and our names. within 48 hours they emailed it to me.

we just returned from our cruise on the 16th. the ship, the weather and for the most part the ports were all great.
-
I only question why you would buy bottles and buckets. Why not a glass of what you want and let your prepaid cheers cover them?
-
we are cruising the 9th and decided to do the old town trolley and harbor sightseeing cruise. it was only $36 each. Not through Carnival.
-
Love the pictures, can't wait to see more. Leaving on the sunshine Sept 9th. Not sure if you mentioned it yet or maybe I am jumping the gun, but did you see any whales?
-
we leave in a few weeks out of NY and no cheers the first day. Then in April we sail with NCL out of NY and the first day is no problem with the cheers pkg they offer.
-
I was told that certain ports the first day cheers will not kick in until 2nd day. One reason I was given was the state and port rules. So why do other cruise lines not have this same rule?

We stayed in cabin 5355 on the Sunshine in April. It is one of those hallway oddball cabins that don't have the same layout as a typical interior. The bathroom is the same size, but the door to the cabin is on the side of the cabin and the normal closet is against a wall and out of the way. We found that this layout actually increased the space in the cabin and we really enjoyed it and would book it again in a heartbeat. It was also in a nice quite location with access to lots of things with minimal traveling.
we are in 5349 sept 9th, I would love to see a pictures of this type room. Can't find it anywhere.

Is NCL like carnival and if you have the drink pkg it does not start until the 2nd day? No one said anything to me about that and I can't seem to find any post. Thanks

kind of a dumb question but how do you go about using these cards on board? Can you just present them and ask that they be applied to your account or can you insert them into slot machines?

we have been to Nassau in January, February and March many times and never did we have bad weather.
-
we usually take the water taxi over to Paradise Island and go to a little hidden place called the green parrot. You can also walk around on that side, plenty of shops and there are some public beaches also. we then walk back over the double bridges and stop at the sister bar, the green parrot. we have done this a few times and never had any issues. KW is a blast, Freeport is OK. the best time we ever had there was the brewery tour. they really took care of us.

Thanks for the info. I will check out some suggestions.

I know of the most popular parking but it is all so expensive. does anyone have or know of some alternatives? thanks for your help!

we did an 11 day cruise with carnival last year and we hit the ABC's and grand Turk. Best cruise ever.

for the event planner info I had gone to the FAXs, Specialty Resturants/dining reservation information. Then it gives you eventplanner@carnival.com Where can you make the reservations yourself on the website? I also had the question about if each cabin was entitled to the free bottle if you have a group table? Thanks everyone!
-
Well I was always under the impression that the first night guest received a free bottle of wine with the meal at the steakhouse. I was just informed that that is not the case. I received a message from eventplanning.com stating that it is up to the ships discretion if wine is offered or not. Has anyone else heard of that? I want to make reservations but not if I don't get the wine.

I would love to see any photos of the rooms. We are booked in 5349 in December. My email address is rats0700@msn.com
thanks in advance!
Sam
we are also in 5349 in September and have been trying to get pictures also!

I don't doubt that it happens. If you have a reservation for the first night, including attire that is within posted rules in your carry-on luggage insures you will not be breaking any rules.
:confused::rolleyes:If you don't mind breaking the rules why bother to ask what is allowed?
you responded to me, I was not the one to ask the question or attempt to break rules. I am laughing at your response.:D

I don't doubt what you saw. I simply pointed out the rule as posted on Carnival's website.
First night sometimes the rule slides because if you have 6:00 reservation you may not have your luggage yet. I've sen that happen.

You will need to provide or purchase a lanyard.
You can buy CruiseCash in your Carnival online account. Log in to your booking on carnival.com, go to The FunShops, and select CruiseCa$h. You can buy it in $25 increments. It will be noted with Carnival and available to you as soon as you check in. I'm not sure with Carnival, but on some lines you are limited to $1000.
you can get lanyards in the casino for free

is it one of the BIG tournaments that is held only a couple of times a year? The normal ones played on every cruise are no bother, however much different for the BIG ones. Very crowded in the casino.

You get them at a 10% discount. So the $500 one is $450 and the $100 is $90. You do have to also use points you can get by joining AARP, taking quizzes, watching videos, reading articles and they also send emails that have code words that you can use to accumulate 150 points each time you sign in and use it. Hope this helps.
OK so I am new to AARP and I have no clue what all this is about. so do I go to the website and find these quizzes and stuff there? Is that where you also purchase the gift cards? thanks for any help.

Good Luck!
Just got back...Very short review of the Sunshine
in Carnival Cruise Lines

we hit the serenity hot tub some early mornings and then again in the afternoons. I think the most we ever had in there at one time was 8. there were always seats available on the 3 levels also. Now if this were a Caribbean cruise I am sure it would have been a little harder to find a set.
