can anyone tell me if they still have jeeps and or little buggy rentals right at the port in Cozumel? I know they used to but it's been a few years since our visit.
-
we stayed at the b2Miami, just 2 minutes from the pier and a great location to get out and enjoy Miami. we got it for a really great price also.

It's been a few years since we last visited Cozumel and the last two times there you could rent a jeep or these little buggy style vehicles right at the port. Are they still available there? Thanks for any info.

I would and I have. the time I reported it they were such heavy smokers and not very courteous at all. The area we were located in all the ashes settled on our balcony. I couldn't even go out barefoot and enjoy the smokey smelly air that I paid for.:(

love the laundry perk. Going home with all clean clothing is so nice. They have always hung my dress items and handled them with care. I do suggest you write all your items down for your records. I also take a snap shot of the items laid out on the bed. Two times I lost things. I check my list when I get the clean stuff back. When my blouse was missing I had a picture and they were able to find it for me.:o

Rthyms of the Night in Puerta Vallarta. Amazing island with a wonderful buffet dinner and show. Loved the crew on the boat that transferred you from the pier to the island because they were a show in themselves.
we agree 100%, and I booked that in error but have never regretted the mistake. The best ever!

I think prepaid gratuities are terrible. If you give cash, the staff get the money. If you give on your account, CCL gets most of the money.
I was visiting a large upscale resort in the Caribbean and was told by a staff member that if you charge gratuities to your room, 90% of it goes back to the corporate office in Delawar to your room, 90% of it goes back to the corporate office in the US and 10% went to the employees.
I am sure that CCL takes a huge chunk out of account paid gratuities. Consider how much more the staff will work and give you extra free perks if you give them cash. It cost the same to you.
TOTALLY ILLEGAL! Do you really think a company as large as carnival would risk such charges. I don't want to get into the accounting part of it, so please just think about it.

Is it just me or do the rates seem to be stuck at current prices and not jumping around to give us a chance to get a great bargain. I have been watching a couple of future cruises I would like to take but not one time have the prices moved, either up or down. That's part of the fun in booking... catching it at the right time.

just cancel with carnival and do it on your own. Usually there will still be room if you decide to go through carnival.

http://rethinkingdrinking.niaaa.nih.gov/How-much-is-too-much/What-counts-as-a-drink/Whats-A-Standard-Drink.aspx
One ounce of beer contains less alcohol than one ounce of spirits, but the standard serving of beer is a 12-oz. can or bottle. Here’s how it adds up:
Beer contains between 4 and 7 percent alcohol by volume, with the average being 5 percent alcohol by volume. 12 oz. x 5 percent alcohol by volume = 0.6 oz. of alcohol/serving.
The same is true of wine. The standard serving of wine is 5 oz., which generally contains between 11 and 13 percent alcohol by volume. 5 oz. x 12 percent alcohol by volume = 0.6 oz. of alcohol/serving.
Liquor (distilled spirits) is most often consumed in mixed drinks with 1.5-oz. spirits. Sometimes spirits (vodka, gin, scotch, bourbon, etc.) are mixed with water, club soda, or juice or served “straight” or “on the rocks.” No matter how spirits are consumed, a standard serving (1.5 oz.) of 80 proof (40 percent alcohol by volume) of distilled spirits has the same amount of alcohol as standard servings of beer and wine. So 1.5 oz. x 40 percent alcohol by volume = 0.6 oz. of alcohol/serving.
This means that a typical or standard serving of beer, wine, or spirits each contain 0.6 fluid ounces of alcohol.
I don't think the alcohol % is what really matters here. You could be in the hot tub for 6 hours and down 8 glasses of water, point is where are you taking your ppppppp break?

Has anyone won doing the slot pull with a group? Was it a pretty good amount?
the last one we entered there were 98 people that joined in at $30. each. total of $2940. we won back about $6.00 each. There happened to be about 5 other people who helped organize the slot pull but only one persons card was used. It didn't take much for them to get the free drinks and that special envelope in their cabin on the last night.
Sorry to be this way but I still don't think just one persons card should be used. I do appreciate them sending out the e-mail inviting us all to join in the slot pull and inserting all the money and their card and then when we are all done divide winnings by x amount of people and there's your winnings.
Just call me slot pull scrooge:o

I know I am going to be very disliked for this but when you meet a large group for a slot pull and everyone puts in a fair amount of money who's card or any card at that should be in the machine? If you get 20-25 people with entry fee of $20. that's a nice chunk to go towards free drink card and casino credit which can get you free cruises! Sorry my vote is no card in the machine at all.

I thought I would receive one but still haven't. Maybe this will give me a reason to try a different line.

What do you do that makes you think you should receive something:confused:

I love this beer , try to get to Cooperstown as often as posable
We live about 25 minutes from Ommegang and we refer to the place as our 2nd home.
To one other poster here they do have smaller bottles but they also have kegs and 1/4 kegs, we have gotten them for parties. Always a hit!:D

One way to minimize swelling is to walk less. You swell because you are using muscles a lot more than usual and the body heals them by getting more fluid to them. If you feel like salt is the issue just drink more water to flush it out.
Never heard that one before. I am sorry but I must disagree with you on the walking.

Been with Carnival for over 20 years and never received calls that I didn't request. I sign on the website almost everyday checking for any specials and they still don't bother me. However one time we cruised NCL and then I happened to go on NCL's website and they started calling me until I told them I would call them when interested.
-
I am just like you when it comes to salt. Get a couple of cases of the bottled water (2.99) and get out on the track each morning. I have done well avoiding salt on the ships, know your foods and what foods start out higher naturally with sodium. Water is really the best way to flush it out.

there is no difference either way. You only pay tax at US ports and that gets put right on the slip you have to sign since they do not know what drinks you will have and where.
How is the Conquest Seafood Corner? Has anyone tried it?

Where is the seafood corner located on the ship? Thanks:confused:
