  1. I was in 12652 on the Oasis last week. It is just forward of the aft elevators. When I initially boarded the cabin attendant had the thermostat set right in the middle and it was cold in there. To be comfortable during the day I had to set it almost halfway to full heat. At night sleeping with just a sheet it was cool with it set all the way to warmest setting. If anything it was too cold, not warm at all.

  2. Just got off Oasis on Sunday. Suites/Pinnacle departures were 7:45 and 8:45 a.m. I took the 7:45 and was outside waiting for my ride at 8:15. I do not know what time they do it on Allure but I think it would be close to that time. The Suites/Pinnacles receive red luggage tags and they are left out in the hallway the night before, and you are escorted to that area to get your luggage and then you go through Customs.

  3. Ok here it is... my husband is 80 yrs old. He has full dentures. Had a dental procedure the night before cruise so bottom gum was painful. 2nd night after dinner, he took out bottom denture, cleaned it placed it on the sink, we went out to a show, he says oh I forgot it, I say don't worry we're not eating leave it. Returned at 11 pm GONE!! Attendant tossed it in the trash!! Called they say sorry trash got incinerated!!! Next 5 days no teeth!! Couldn't eat anything that wasn't mashed! Pics were ruined! He was embarrassed, and miserable! Housekeeping Sup says we don't pay for lost or stolen!! Was neither, he trashed it!!! He calls in sick next 2 days and doesn't clean our room 2 of the 7 days I have to call for towels!!!Top it all off formal night waitresss spill our champagne all over my gown, have to sit in wet dress all night, husband gets sick from eating freaky food, and miss Mexico excursion we pd for. You tell me was that worth the 4K I paid to celebrate my 30th anniversary!!

  4. so with your thinking everyone should have a BC as well as passport when cruising? That's STUPID!

I think what Scotee was suggesting is having the birth certificate as a backup. Since the OP travels so much it would allow him or her to send their passport for renewal when he was going to do closed loop cruises and use the birth certificate during the interim.

  5. We will be turning Pinnacle in the near future and would like to know everyones opinion about which ship would be a good one to book for this momentus occasion. We will be on Rhapsody right before and are thinking of just booking b2b and becoming Pinnacle on Rhapsody. Any ideas?

Not familiar with who the HD is on Rhapsody, but that is the most important factor in picking a ship for becoming Pinnacle. Hotel Directors like John Denton (Majesty) go all out to make it a truly memorable occasion, while many others do little or nothing more than a picture with an officer at the Top Tier event. I would ask who the HD is on your cruise and decide from there.

  6. After reading that you do well on Princess I would make the following suggestions. Try to book a cabin on or near deck 8 and use Central Park to transit the length of the ship. Avoid the elevators, if possible. They can get really crowded when people push in because they can't wait. For shows, etc. go early and leave late to avoid the crowds. For muster drill take the advice given earlier, don't stand in a crowd if your station requires it they always have a seating area nearby where you will not feel like a canned sardine. It can be done in an enjoyable way if you consciously avoid situations that will trigger an attack.

  7. I know this is an older thread - I was gold with Mlife due to to being diamond with RCCL.. but when I logged into Mlife today I saw I was downgraded to sapphire. Does anyone know if they are still honoring this? And has anyone had luck doing the upgrade at Borgata?

Call Mlife at 1-866-761-7111 and they will update your account. Then go to the Mlife desk the next visit to the casino and pick up your card.

  8. I was on the Feb 26 and March 5 sailings. My experience was entirely different. My room attendant was great and all the crew I came in contact with were polite, efficient and helpful. Food and service in the Coastal Kitchen were fantastic. Windjammer, Johnny Rockets and other casual eating venues were good. Like the ship, like the crew.
