Booking an early December cruise last minute may not be a problem because demand is soft after Thanksgiving until the second week in December. Finding something for an actual Christmas cruise will be more difficult and expensive.
As others have mentioned I don't recall ever seeing the Anthem on the Going, Going, Gone sale, but you never know.
Good luck with your surgery and enjoy your cruise whenever you get to take it.

Send an email to this lady with all relevant information and a detailed list of what you need from Royal.

Unless you are in the first groups to board your large group will have trouble finding seating together except in some of the lesser none locations. The wipe out cafe and solarium cafe do not see as big a rush on embarkation day as only repeaters know where they are. Problem is that both are relatively small and seating your group together would be difficult if not impossible.

Yes, you receive credit the same way.

Do us all a favor. If you risk taking an 8:00 a.m. flight and miss it for ANY reason don't come back here and blame Royal or anyone else for YOUR bad choice.

I got one yesterday and it was my birthday. Got a real card in the snail mail also.

Sanford airport is approximately 1 hour from Port Canaveral. So if you catch the 8:30 shuttle you should be in great shape. If you decide to use a rental car I would suggest do the self walk off (with luggage) or get a very low number luggage tag to ensure you get to the airport well before you need to get through security, etc.

Check around 1 - 2:00 p.m. I have seen them open on the first day.

Great, glad to hear they will be returned.

Why would they need to postpone customer appreciation week??? What does one have to do with the other??? Other than confirm my suspicion that they were only doing it so they could put out that flyer with a "positive spin" in order to "slide in" the negative news!
Whatever their supposed reason for postponing Customer Appreciation Week I'm sure Mr. Bayley was not pleased to have a firestorm created a month before the inaugural President's cruise. Whether they try to institute the new 6 month policy after the President's cruise remains to be seen. This way he won't have to hide in his cabin all week. LOL.

I hope they get rid of the Ultimate Abyss for the 4th ship. It is pure novelty and makes the Boardwalk look ugly.
Don't think they will abandon the Abyss or the other water slides. Royal is making a strong move to change the demographics of their customer base. They want more families and Millenials with more disposable income to enhance their bottom line. Older passengers do not drink as much nor do they take as many excursions. Younger people are more likely to splurge on the high ticket items that mean great profits for Royal. Just a good business strategy as far as I can see.

No problem. I travel solo most of the time and have enjoyed many meals in Giovanni's.

It would be great to see cruise lines institute a similar policy where the early morning hogs get their property confiscated and have to pay to get it back. Just desserts for ignorant trolls.

About two years ago I did a b2b similar to what you are referring to. I sailed on the Allure, walked off and drove to Port Canaveral to board the Freedom. I used parking shuttles on both ends and was still aboard the Freedom around 11:30 a.m.

There are a number of companies that offer annual policies. Some cover pre existing conditions (Geo Blue) and others do not. I personally have Allianz, but I do not recall their policy on pre existing conditions.

When we hit PC I plan on joining the Central Florida inside cabin Pinnacles club. ;)
LOL. John that is not a very exclusive club. They are going to need more inside cabins.

Living in Atlanta, Delta is normally the best option for travel with their locations served and flight times, but I have to give it up to Southwest.
They were able to accommodate the lady I was speaking to for a very reasonable flight cost of 164.00.
Crisis averted. I told her to make sure she contacts Delta, so they can accommodate her on her return flight and not cancel the ticket.
Glad it worked out for her, she was fortunate to find an alternative at the last minute.

Yes they do. The first formal night is generally on day two. So you need to give the clothes you want pressed to the room attendant the first night. They should be returned to you before 5 p.m. on day two. There is a nominal charge for pressing. You can also get clothing dry cleaned or washed.

We will be there with you both on Sept 11th. Bob & nancy The Villages , Florida
Small world, I live in The Villages too.

I have never seen CK crowded on either Allure or Oasis at breakfast or lunch. It gets busy sometimes but I have never seen anyone turned away. Lunch is only served on sea days.
The TA could be a different story with all the Pinnacles that will be on board.

So will I⚓
Sent from my iPhone using Forums
See you there.

Thank you all!!! If anyone reading this is sailing on Allure Sept 4th we'll see you there!
I'll be on b2b 9/4 and 9/11.

My experience with Allure has been that boarding usually begins around 11:00 - 11:15. They board Suites and Pinnacles first, then Diamond Plus, Diamonds, etc. it is usually a pretty quick process and most of those waiting are on board by noon or a little after.

In order of preference:
Port Canaveral
Port Everglades
Port of Tampa
Port of Miami
I would add that these preferences are based on my ability to drive to the ports. If I were flying it would be Port Everglades, Port of Miami, Port of Tampa and Port Canaveral.

Good review. Your writing in English is better than a lot of Americans.
