Nothing has changed with any of the Q class ships (excluding Q+) in terms of capacity since they entered service - they all have a 100% capacity of around 4200 (full capacity of around 5000).

I’m sure that info will be available but many folks will try to get a price drop without bothering to look at that detail or not know that you can’t get the tax portion adjusted.
We assume the OP is not talking about that - that is known issue. Though that will be more difficult to see if RCI changes to a tax inclusive pricing model.
There's no diff where you store it - for the OP, it's a matter of which is likely to incur the least delay/hassle. Again, we are talking about the ship, not a flight - there's no prohibition of extension cords on a flight like on a ship.
The poster is trying to avoid the possibility of their check luggage being detained due to the cord in it. Even if detected at security within the carryon, that delay is likely shorter than the delay in delivery of checked luggage.
