  1. I'm so glad it was resolved in time. Happy Anniversary. 🍾🥂 The nitwit who came up with the Premier package obviously didn't think it though properly. It will never work on short cruises. Suite passengers don't fill the restaurants on Coral as there are only 16 suites but Premier with two bookings per cabin, and other free speciality dining promos will cause chaos.
  2. Francois is the Head Waiter for the Bayou so first point of contact. We've found him very helpful. But I agree that passengers should have priority in the speciality restaurants.
  3. Geoff, so sorry to hear of your current health issues. I hope they can sort out something for you to relieve the pain. Max looks adorable, such a handsome dog.
  4. Geoff, I hope Francois was able to sort out your Bayou booking. That was extremely naughty of Princess to change it without any notice.
  5. We disembarked from Coral this morning. We had an aft cabin, B710, and found the aft lifts were great. We're embarking again on Tuesday, this time with a mid-aft cabin. I wouldn't be surprised if we often used the aft lifts rather than the midships ones even though it would mean a longer walk. We need the exercise anyway. 😄
  6. Me neither but some I have enjoyed more than others, and some ships I won't be in a hurry to go on again.
  7. We always do and usually about 50% of people at our local shopping centre do but today it was much less than that.
  8. No, Harris Farm doesn't stock some of the things we needed so we just went to Coles. I don't know if we'll have time to see Harris Farm.
  9. Aaargh! I wish I hadn't got off the ship! I had to go to the supermarket and it was full of people not wearing masks! Aaargh! Cruise ships are safer!!!!!!!!!
  10. I thought I'd start new live reporting thread for the next round of cruises: 3rd Sept - 10 nights Queensland 13th Sept - 9 nights South Australia 22nd Sept - 4 nights NSW Hunter and Sapphire Coast 26th Sept - 12 nights Queensland & Conflict Islands Hopefully a few other "reporters" will add their comments to mine.
  11. There has been quite a bit of discussion in various threads about the disappointing selection of wines available under the Plus and Premium Fares which, of course, also covers the only wines available by the glass. Those of us who chose these fares based on previous experience of Princess wine list are feeling let down over both the limited selection of wines by the glass, and the very basic quality of those wines, particularly the Plus wines. Today we had a very constructive and in-depth discussion with Coral's Bar Manager. A significant part of the problem is supply issues. Many of the wines on the previous wine list were sourced through the US where there are now wine shortages. Sourcing Australian wines capable of supplying three cruise ships from now through to the end of the summer season was also difficult. The bad news is that the wine lists are unlikely to change this year. The good news is that we feel that our discussion and concerns about the range and quality of the wines were taken seriously, were understood, and were accepted. However the decisions aren't made at ship level but we hope our concerns and suggestions will be passed up the chain to management. If you have booked a Plus fare on an upcoming cruise you have two choices: 1. Stay with the Plus fare and be prepared to pay extra by the glass for Premium wines, or buy by the bottle at the 25% discount. 2. See if you can refare to the Saver fare and buy your drinks, coffee packages, and Wifi packages individually.
  12. A travellers guessing game. Someone posts a photo of a place they have been to, and the rest of have to guess where it is. The first person who identified the place correctly, confirmed by the photo poster, then has to post the next photo. I've started with what I hope is a fairly easy one.
