thank you. I probably wont have much leftover anyways, have never purchased onboard credits ahead of time before, but when i can save $.30 on the dollar, it's probably a good idea.

If you prepurchase OBC and don't use the full amount, how do you get the leftover refunded?

I have never prepurchased before, but may this time as it'll save me quite a bit of money with the exchange rate.

OK. . So this will be the first time the Getaway is doing a 3 day. Only reason is because she gets back from the Olympics at the end of august and this Friday-Sunday gets her back on schedule. Hopefully they choose 2 great menus, what a nice quick vacation. Enjoy :)

The getaway does not do 2 night cruises. It is always 7 nights.

It was explained to us that a 7 day western carribean will use the same menu each time, and it will be different than the 7 day eastern.. but the eastern will also use the same menu each time. Each itinerary has its own menu which stays the same for that itinerary everytime.

Here is the other catch, CCL caps you on how many drinks you can have per day. I believe it's at 11 drinks and your done. Be sure it fits with your lifestyle. Also, you have a cost limit as well, as far as how expensive of a drink you can have. Further more, be sure to read all the fine print as the package doesn't cover everything you may want to drink.

Thank you. Now that ive had a chance to see what the a la carte prices are, i'm more ok with it. We should be able to eat at Cagneys for a very reasonable price. Thanks agsin :)

Gotta say.. I'm not too impressed with this new a la carte idea. Part of the cruise experience is dining for cheap. I don't mind paying a fee for a meal in the steakhouse or whatever but I'm sure the a la carte plan will end up costing more. Too bad.. I was really looking forward to NCL but this culd very well be my first and last cruise with them if I feel like I'm being nickel and dimed

So this will be our first cruise on NCL. We have previously only been on Carnival and we're very happy with all of those cruises. Now giving NCL a shot it seems there are quite a few differences and I hope I'm not missing out by not understanding these differences. I think I've educated myself pretty good and understand reservations need to be made for a lot of the shows. My question is when can we start making these reservations online? We cruise in April and I haven't seen any options for making reservations online yet. Any other tips between the 2 cruise lines that you feel would be helpful will be appreciated. Thank you

We just sailed on the Liberty during spring break. There was noticeably more teenagers and children but we were not bothered at all by them. We would not hesitate to cruise during march break again.

We were worried about the college kids, they were having a good time for sure but never once offended us or took anything away from our vacation. I actually thought the college kids were pretty well behaved compared to what I was expecting

I preferred the older style menu but maybe I'm just getting old and am less willing to accept change. HATED that Creme brûlée is no longer available. One night wife and I actually didn't enjoy anything offered and tried almost everything without luck. Most nights there was something good, I just preferred the old style and didn't like that they even messed with formal nights and Creme brûlée :(

We are non american, flying out of Miami yesterday after our cruise, we disembarked with the rest of the ship, went through the same customs line and there was no difference regardless of your nationality

First time to Cozumel we stayed until 10pm, had a great time enjoying the nightlife. Last time we were there we left at 6pm... It sucked.
