    Hi Everyone,

Can you folks fill me in on how Regent chooses Business Air flights when they are included in your fare ?
Do you have any input on the flights assigned  ?

    Thanks

Check out “Regent Flights-with and without deviation” at the top of the Regent threads.  It will answer any questions you may have.

They will be flying from Milwaukee, which is a gateway city.

Milwaukee is an accommodated city, but not a gateway city.  Hence the additional fee.

    From https://www.rssc.com/experience/customize-your-journey/air-program :

*FREE Roundtrip Air includes ground transfers between airport and ship and applies to coach, roundtrip flights only from the following airports: ATL, BOS, CLT, DEN, DFW, DTW, EWR, FLL, IAD, IAH, JFK, LAX, LGA, MCO, MDW, MIA, MSP, ORD, PBI, PHL, PHX, SAN, SAV, SEA, SFO, TPA, YUL, YVR, YYZ. Airfare is available from select other U.S. and Canadian gateways for an additional charge. Airline fees, surcharges and government taxes are included, however, airline-imposed personal charges such as baggage fees may apply. FREE Business Class Air applies to intercontinental flights only. Custom Air arrangements may be made 270 days prior to sailing (custom air fees apply). FREE First Class Air applies to all domestic (U.S.) ports for guests sailing in the Regent Suite on Seven Seas Explorer®. Hospitality Suite access and Disembarkation Day Tour are offered in select ports only provided minimum guest requirement is met. Dayrooms are capacity-controlled and may not be available within 60 days of departure.

can we pay for Regent transport? Our flight is around 2pm.

Yes.  You or your travel agent can prebook transfers (via the Reservations department) and have it added to your invoice.

Alternatively, you can purchase the transfer once you are onboard. Destinations handles this onboard.  You can you use onboard credit if you have any.

  4. MIke:

On July 6, reservations sent emails that stated:

"Effective August 1, 2022, Regent Seven Seas Cruises will no longer require guests to complete a COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test and receive a negative result prior to embarkation, subject to local regulations. There are a small number of cruises – currently sailings starting from a port in Canada, Greece or the United States – which as per local regulations will still require guests to produce evidence of a negative COVID-19 test result taken within a specified timeframe at embarkation. These requirements will be highlighted to guests at least 30-days prior to sailing."

For the August 31 sailing, requirements should have been posted by August 1.  That did not happen.

The August 31 cruise on Mariner out of Seward is NOT listed at https://www.rssc.com/voyage-health

As of today, the only Mariner cruises listed are August 3, 17, and 24.

Those of us on the August 31 cruise out of Seward are merely guessing what is expected, and we are running out of time if we need to schedule Covid tests in Anchorage.

Additionally, many of us (USA guests) have not received ticket packets either.

I just booked a cruise on Splendor.

When you book onboard, you have 30 days (after debarkation) to cancel without the $100 penalty / admin fee.  So, depending on when "just booked" occurred, you can cancel and get a full refund.

wondering if we can count on being able to hang some things using magnets.

Both ships are similar in this respect.  Very strong magnets will work on any of the walls.  Generic magnets, not so much.  The best magnets are the ones that Regent provides....for your SSS tier level lapel pins !

  8. Avoid the port side.  The treadmills will be above you, and you will not like the result.  The gym is "closed" overnight to keep your room quiet while you sleep.  However, we have had problems with "special" people sneaking in and using the equipment at any hour.  The ceiling is not well insulated from noise.

The starboard side is under the yoga room and spa.  We have not had problems on that side.

Okay, I'll revive this one more time.  Does anyone have recent experience upgrading their North American flights through Regent to Business/Domestic First to Alaska (i.e., Vancouver, Seward?)

    Yes

Regent upcharge from Economy to First Class, Florida to Anchorage: $699 per person, each way.

Booked this two months ago.  Air Deviation department allowed flights on United or Delta.  Flights are predominately on 737 aircraft.

  10. In the US, we did receive luggage tags with the ticket pouch.  They are a new design, but still not preprinted with your name and suite number.  They also include leather luggage tags with the Regent logo to use on flights.

@Anchorbuoy......checked with my Regent Rep...said they cant ship docs for this segment.  Have you heard anything about that? Guess it's close-in so that could be the reason.  🤔

No official information, but no documents sent to us.  We will print the eDocs and boarding pass, and make a run at the terminal.

There is only one suite available for booking.  Looks like we will be the only refugees.

I'm hoping this will hold true for us....Dec.20th. I'm a complete nincompoop with uploads...I've been worried about this for awhile. I'll give it my best college try, but good to know if I fail, we can still get on board with photos done at the terminal and on board....thanks!

Explorer is using the photo that they take for Facial Recognition purposes. You don’t use or need your keycard to get on or off the ship.  You look into a camera and monitor system, and it clears you thru Security.
