  1. So how are they hosting the Sr Officer's party? Do they have servers walking around with drinks still or have they changed that to just your 3 drinks on the card? Is is no longer held in the Sky lounge?

We go to Elite B'fast probably half the cruise as we enjoy the quiet and view in Tuscan. Food isn't that important in the am for us, a bit of fruit and Bacio pastries along with Elite+ coffee does fine. Please don't give them any ideas and stop offering it  or change that perk too!

  2. I think they've gotten way too high in price to justify that cost!! Remember when they did Ultimate pkg at $29 p/p per day included specialty lunches at Murano and Tuscan  along with unlimited at the Porch and Bistro on 5. That was a great deal!! We've actually grown a bit tired of their menu offerings, been the same for years. Guess we'll be saving our $$ on our upcoming cruise on the Silhouette

  3. We've used Irie tours on our last two visits to Curacao, and doing so again in Dec. I've always filled out the requested form on their website and usually heard back in a day or two with reservation and meeting details. You pay at the end of the tour in cash. Both times we went we were to meet at the big white tent at the end of the pier within the first hour of our ships arrival. They'll have someone looking for you holding a sign saying IRIE TOURS. Can't miss the guys in their colorful shirts. They have you meet 15 minutes prior to start time and both times they were offering tours to people on the spot as they have full size school buses to fill if necessary. I'd recommend bringing an extra beach towel to sit on during the ride as it does get hard on the rear after a long day! Hope you get your reservation. It's a fun day

  4. Google MSC Seaside pictures then go to CruiseCritic review where towards the end there is a link to tons of pics. Look at the Suite cabin photos and I think you'll find some of what you're looking for.

  5. Did you use the Thermal area in the Spa? Wondering if there are locker room areas with showers. etc. similar to Persian Gardens on Celebrity or like the Thermal area on NCL Escape, etc.

Does MSC makes lots of PA announcements during the day, and if so in multiple languages? Drives me nuts...

Thanks for your review, looking to try a different cruise line and Yacht Club

  6. We've taken this tour twice in the past year, that's how much we enjoyed it. Just want to mention that it can be a rough ride for a portion of the trip as others have commented. Pick a spot where you will feel most comfortable with that in mind from the get go. The crew will advise everyone to take a seat and remain there until they say otherwise. One time was very rough and the next time not quite as bad, so hard to tell in advance

When they get to Green Island is the snorkeling part of the tour, which is follow the guide. The reports of how many fish and quality of the snorkeling experiences differs. The beach is nice and isolated and the drinks and food are supplied at this point. Both of which are great. It's a great tour and we're considering it again for our upcoming visit to Antiqua. Enjoy your day!

  7. Sorry, no pictures to share, but you should be able to find reviews online. We didn't sign up in advance but walked to their office and they were able to include us on one of their buses. It is a fairly long walk out of the port area and to the street from the ship so allow 30 minutes or more to get there. We have been to this port multiple times so knew our way, but still plenty of people to get around, etc.

Tour guide was very good and took us to a different area of the Ruins 1st where less people were. We were able to climb up and walk around one area, not too difficult or steep. Another area no climbing allowed. We saw half dozen monkeys here swinging from tree branches which was fun too! Bring bug spray, you'll want it. They had provided some as well if you forgot. It's close to an hour ride to the Ruins and then 30 or so to the Bacalar Lagoon Resort. We ordered lunch and got our beach chairs. Beers, soda, margaritas during our 2 hour stay. Kayaks to use so we paddled around for a bit to look at the mangroves. Some went snorkeling or swimming as well .I'd recommend water shoes as it was rocky but there was a ladder available to get in and out of water. Changing rooms here as well. Very clean and nice resort. Food was good also. We saw butterflies and various plants, lots of pineapple fields which we stopped at a roadside stand to purchase on the return ride back to the port. We really enjoyed our day! Excellent company and great value for all included

  8. Just returned from 2 weeks of cruising to Costa Maya and Cozumel twice each port also Key West, Grand Cayman, Roatan and Harvest Caye, Belize. As frequent cruisers in the Caribbean we were definitely surprised by the huge amounts of sea grass floating throughout our waters during our sailings back and forth to Miami. Really large patches of the stuff at the surface almost "fermenting" due to temperature of the water I suppose. It was really interesting to us as we live on a barrier Island and sure do hope that crap doesn't come pollute our beaches!

  9. We enjoy going to Krazy Lobster area was just there this past Tuesday and walked the Malecon. Seemed to be one of the better area as they've put up a "fence" to try to cut down on the seagrass which is all along the beach

  10. Sounds like you might have been on the Getaway with the ports you mentioned? Going in a month to these ports so interesting to hear others are also having the problem. Changes up what we may plan for our days in port
