  1. Strikes me as sort of funny that grown adults can get excited about towel animals, but our last Reflection cruise we got like 5 or 6 of them. Guess the steward had some time on his hands. Still love the swan and monkey the best but it certainly doesn't matter one way or another if we get one or not

  2. Each elite member gets their own coupons to use the perks, so if each of you are elite you can go as a couple to Persian Gardens on one port day. We have been told a 2 hour time limit most times we have used them. I'm ok with an hour or so and hubby gets anxious after about 20 mins! Next time I'm wondering if I could use both our coupons for myself on different days. Has anyone ever tried that? We usually check to see how busy the room is before deciding when to go since we've seen it really full with people and we tend to stay onboard anyhow on port days lately.

  3. Agree with the last two posts. I sailed Allure last Sept since no Celebrity ships in Carib at the time and hadn't sailed Royal for a few yrs but lots of times in prior yrs. Had a great time and enjoyed Chefs Table dining pkg and their Diamond lounge meeting lots of fun people. We did enjoy the addt'l activities it offered and a whole lot of people watching from their lounge for the Diamonds. Gotta admit it's one heck of a ship and worth a try sometime. Still always check Celebrity sailings first

  4. After booking five sailings because of the drink pkgs I've decided not to worry whether I'm paying more or not. The convience of the pkgs really add to our enjoyment of the cruise so it's worth it to us. So much more enjoyable compared to elite cocktail party where they've decided when and where we can drink. I hope they continue to offer the promo plus with a good TA who gives me onboard credit and pays our grats it's like a win win for me! Let's go cruising

  5. Did a back to back recently on the Reflection both weeks with the Ultimate pkg. First week was told no dining pkgs were being sold at all, that everything was all booked. Didn't lile that answer since had really wanted the pkg so went to Muranos to see if they had different response. Ended up being only 6 pax had the pkg, the other 4pax were booked in AQ and apparently didn't care about Blu. Second week there didn't appear to be many more than that either. You start seeing the same people during the lunches that were being offered and got to talking with them. I'm hoping we can get the pkg again on the Sille as I gave up my AQ cabin since hubby would rather do it again than eat in Blu. Have booked a 5nt dining pkg that hope can turn into Ultimate once onboard as another pax did the 2nd week when we were on Reflection. By the way, first week with pkg had lunch in Tuscan, LCG, and Murano plus Champagne high tea. Second week had LCG and Murano, no tea but that week buffet was held in MDR which wasn't held the first week. After all that I came home and had only gained two pounds couldn't beleieve it!

  6. I'd have to agree with others about checking it out first as have used Persian Gardens on other M class ships but not been on the Summit yet. Get elite day pass also and wouldn't even care to spend 30 mins in there just not that exciting. Agree the S class ships are a whole different matter with the Reflection having the added heated loungers and the cold room felt it is the nicest one I've experienced to date. I was thinking of going a second day but am quite sure we were quoted more like $30 or $35 for a day pass definitely not $25 or would have gone at that price. Am glad to hear Sille will be less since plan to go there when cruise in March

  7. We recently changed our booking from being in Aqua class back to standard balcony cabin for an upcoming cruise after sailing the Reflection recently. Had Ultimate dining pkg and felt the service and food in specialty rests along with a definite table for two with much more privacy than Blu a better choice for us. The menu never looks that great to either of us. also bfast ends pretty early in the am and I'm the type that has to wake up and smell the coffee before even thinking about eating. When we have sailed AQ in the past we did enjoy it but didn't like the tables so close together as others have commented. The food was ok but I'd still rather enjoy eating in the various specialties as opposed to the same one place each day let alone twice

  8. I've also recently started watching the weekend sailaways on the webcams scouting for my upcoming cabin on the Sille in March. It's become a gotta be home by 4pm thing on the weekends and my dh thinks I'm crazy too! By the way, living in Florida I still enjoy seeing what the weather looks like down that way compared to ours. Great review

  9. ;)We sailed the Reflection Nov 30 thru Dec 14 and filled out two ATD cards during cruise but did ask Guest Services for the form to fill out. Had so many great employees to comment about that needed two forms. Have always given praise to the people we felt should be rewarded over the years onboard Celebrity. Have never thought they were intended for a complaint, if something wasn't quite right during the cruise we'd go talk to whomever could help us out in person, not on a card. They've always thanked us for taking the time to fill the form out. I personally hardly ever fill out the questionaire at end of the cruise for years now, except when something wasn't good and never did get addressed during the sailing, in hopes someone in corporate will care. Although, I did fill out questionaire at end of Reflection with a whole lot of excellent! Onboard Allure didn't really like the WOW idea since felt like they kept pushing you to pick someone when I didn't feel anyone deserving of it other than the bartenders in the diamond lounge and they got my dollars for their great service

  10. I have sailed Allure and Reflection and also walked out on Chicago but loved the other shows. Had the Chefs table dining pkg so loved that and didn''t really do much mdr dining. We were on supposedly the lowest passenger count they had had to date but still found too many kids, strollers, etc for our taste. Had a really fun time and glad we did it once to see what the ship was like, especially enjoyed Central Park. BUT the smoke was awfull we couldn't even go to some of the lounges it really was disappointing in that regard. In the end it made me realize how much more we really do enjoy sailing Celebrity

  11. gdpups thanks for the info on your recent sille sailing as we have upcoming one in March and hope to book ultimate pkg. I 'm assuming you did the western itineary with only two sea days. I have to agree with the quality of the grilled meats and seafood kabobs, did spoil the steak in Tuscan for us as a bit less appealing after having had them at Lawn Club Grill but still delicious. Also, thanks for the heads up about modifing menu at Qsine as we too just found certain items we preferred and didn't want some of the others that automatically came with so would not want to waste so much food again. Did your friend make an additional reservation at Murano for the desset or just show up? Am thinking of doing so myself when we sail. We still enjoy Tuscan the most for the apps and location and laid back attentive service we've had

  12. I am sailing this itinerary in March and wondering if any lunches were offered in the specialty resturants? Sailed on a back to back last Nov/Dec on the Reflection with the ultimate dining package and both weeks had different lunches on sea days as well as Lawn Club Grill so hoping to do so again. They were all great and would appreciate info if you have any

  13. In 2012 we spent 14nts in Alaska on the Mille then cont on thru Panama Canal back to Fl on Infinity for 17 nts both times in one of these cabins. Liked them only because of being newer bathroom bed etc. The location was fine but definetely could be rockier being so far up. Was great access to outside deck for glacier viewing and quick to cabin for forgotten items. Being surrounded by all Aqua cabins meant we'd often be last cabins to be serviced by the room stewards but didn"t bother us. Do recall getting a bit of a oh, you're booked in a lowly inside cabin look from some surrounding passengers since everyone else in that area spent so much more $$ but hey, who cares we were traveling 45 days at sea along with 45 more across country. One thing did notice was the soundproofing was bad, when they vaccumed adjoining cabin it was unreal how loud it was in our cabin.
