Welcome to Singapore..
Temperatures range about 25c to 30c

Each Drink package per person. No sharing ... Good for many sea days

I don't understand why the port timing is only from 7am to 2pm. I wished it was longer.
Please help me decide if I have enough time to see the 2 Forts (Morro And Cristobal) in San Juan given the time I will be there from 8 am to 1pm, discounting disembarking and time so i don't have to run for the ship?
Any help will be appreciated

For the towel policy
Maybe RC could have better informed by putting it in the compass telling us to collect towels the day before or announcing ship-wide, and removing the towels rental on land. If people forgot to collect the towels the day before, then too bad. You are better off queuing on the ship then queuing on land and wasting your beach time.
For the towels, limit each cabin to the number of people in it. All u have to do is to write your name + cabin number perday. No need to come back and sign out
Have towel bins near the beaches on Labadee so people can just deposit them after they are done.
I think that will remove the ridiculous of the policy.

Here's another article about the dangers of Nassau and the rest.
https://www.yahoo.com/travel/the-worst-caribbean-cruise-ports-of-call-104735967252.html
It seems the situation is getting bad when you keep getting reports like this..

Add me too
We booked our cruise during the WOW sale and got hefty discounts of 1k..1k for a balcony cabin ! I'm not joking. Even got OBC, so for that our drinks are already settled.Though the bad side is that i lose out on the cabin of my choice but hey a 1k diff versus a cabin of my choice? I rather take the 1k.
Now I'm waiting for the last min deals that hopefully the JS price will drop so I can upgrade.
On a side note, maybe there are giving out WOW sales now and then because they can't fill their ships fully? And i noticed that after a few cabins have been sold during the WOW sale, the price increase slightly.

Do they have the mad hatter's ball for every sailing on the INDY?
Thanks
-
Same issue too
I called and they say that either the sail date is too far out or i should try buying them on-board.
They won't even accept orders over the phone... :(
-
Thanks, so with the cruise in June 2015, is it reasonable to think one of those sales would still occur for this cruise? I know, no guarantees, just asking based on your experience.

Yes.. One or a few months back, i encountered the WOW sale and going going gone sale. I didn't book because i was searching for other itinerary and ships.
Then when i found what i like, i waited for the next sale, which was last week and currently ongoing sale. I think its the WOW sale. Book it and there was a huge difference in price + some perks as well.
So yes you may wait...but from some recommendations on CC, i book earlier due to being able to choose cabins

Most probably Europe transit via Singapore after a dry dock refurbishment..
I was thinking Australia, but after seeing the post above saying it will not go to Australia most probably, Europe would be a choice.
It shouldn't be joining the Asian fleet. We have Legend, mariner, Quantum and Voyager.. I wouldn't be expecting another RCL ship here, and it did be surprising if it does.

Isn't it a different form asking whether you bring in heaps of money and gifts, plants, meat, whether you have been on a farm etc. ?
Its on the back of the form where they give it to you on the plane for foreigners...The bluish form, can't remember the name.
-
thanks
how far in advance due you order the cabana
if you do wanna book a cabana, you probably should do it very early
All the cabanas on my cruise in March is sold out. If i want to pray and hope for a cabana, i will have to check onboard...

Yes, only one Ben & Jerry's sweet on each of Freedom, Liberty, and Independence.
That's unique.. Faster fingers first i guess.
anyway..thanks for your help :)
-
Is there just the only one Sweet available out all the cabins on the entire ship?

Hey everyone,
We have cabin 6288 on deck 6 for our trip on the INDY
But here's the thing, a slightly hump balcony (half a hump u can say) 7334 on deck seven appeared on the staterooms available, when i did a check on the website
Both are E2 categories and I was sure i ask the RCA whether there was any cabins available other than deck 6, he said it was sold out..
Should I move to the new cabin or stick to the one i have?
Thanks!

We are booked on the 14 March 2015 doing the 8 night for our first cruise on RC. We did like the Oasis or Quantum but the ports didn't appeal to us so here we are!
How fast do these Ice show tickets "sell out" ?
We will like to book a private tour with either thenford or royston but how fast can you get off the ship when it docks at the port of calls? Are they going to give us a number like the tender boats..
-
Well
I was basically sold on the islands and clear blue waters/ white sand beaches in the Caribbean along with its historic value like St kitts/san juan fort.. (the pictures/adventures on CC was really the bargaining chip)
And the ironic thing is...I'm from a year round summer place and Im going to the Caribbean.

If you go on cruises that mainly calls asia their home port(ie. Star Cruises) and not the international types like Royal Caribbean or Princess, you will find different things have change
Limited entertaiment
More High-End boutiques (coach, watches)
More people usually hang out at the casino
Asian Food more towards the spices
If you want to take an asian cruise, then i suggest either Royal Caribbean, Princess, or celebrity which are on the more high end and offer better entertainment and fun value.
But if you want to experience local Asian flavour when ships are meant to serve asian markets all year round, then opt for the Local ones.
Below are some of the link for the Local Cruises

Then Compare it to the Mariner

Hey Cruise Critic Members
I do not know whether this topic was already asked but here goes..
So today i went into the Cruise Planner, and tried to book entertainment shows, classes and everything... But they don't seem to appear, just a whole lot of shore excursions, drink packages..
My question is Are they sold out or do i have to wait for them to appear or I could only do it on the ship?
Another question, has anyone done the All- access tour? If so how was it?
My departure is on 14 March 2015 (Indy)
Thanks! :D

116 days
Finally I'm going...Been waiting for this for a long long time
:)
-
Would be great if she came back - but it would be a huge effort to redeploy her from Asia... :( so sadly, this is not very likely, IMHO... :(
We would gladly trade the Mariner and the legend for One of your Oasis Class ships here in Singapore or probably Australia.
I personally don't fancy the Quantum here even though it is the newest ship would prefer the Oasis or Allure.
The Oasis class have done a transatlantic to Europe, so now its time for Asia.:)

I vote for the Glory Trip too
TO be honest, i have never been to any of these ports before, let alone the Caribbean.
That being said, we have narrowed down our cruises and one of them was Carnival Glory's itinerary in OP. That will be in March 2015 though
It has beaches, the fort in San Juan but not really sure about Saint Thomas..So a mix of history and beaches. That's one of the reason we chose that.
-
Thank you for your inputs
Following the advice, I will most probably be doing a pre-cruise of 1 or 2 days before going on the cruise.
As for the Kennedy space center, well...I guess we will have to find a way to fit into our itinerary.
:)
