The simple truth is, some can afford it, others cannot, C'est La Vie.  I sense the little green monster of envy is involved. The negative comments are likely because if "I can't have it, why should anybody else have it" syndrome.  Why do some people feel that a simple modest home is not enough and have to spend hundreds of thousands on some monster house?  It's all relative.

I tried to get our other 2 couples to go in on one, but they still did not see the 3 or 400$  cost each was justified.  No biggie, but I, who will probably never be able to afford one singly can see it would be very nice.  They did spring for the Labadee Cabana at a much cheaper price. Yay for us.  Cheers to those who are fortunate enough to have the dough.

You are right! Sad thing is This wasn’t even a debate about if cabanas were worth it this post was started to inform people that prices started to drop in case they were interested unbelievable how adults can be so childish on what others do on their vacation.

    Massive?

the Beach Club is nearly $180 for my cruise, highway robbery

Yes. Aside from the overwater cabanas all of them have dropped by about 50% for the July 24 sailing. You should’ve been on the lookout although I canceled my 3 day passes for a coco beach cabana instead I was able to grab passes for 105 a person and 95 for the kid a few months back. I also got my waterpark tickets for $58 a head at that time too.

really looking forward to the coco beach cabana! It dropped 50% I snagged one 🙂

  3. "And flights to Papeete from my home airport are around $1,800 RT. For our group of 7, that would be $12,600. Then 3 rooms at $549 a night would be $1,647 a night. So, 7 days in Tahiti (to compare with our cruise) would be $24,129.

$1,699 for a day in an overwater cabana while on a 7 day cruise is a bargain compared to Tahiti." - Cured.

Wow. Now that's alot of money!!! 24K!!!!

100% with you. In all honesty, I’m not sure why people question why others get them. I don’t ask why people buy a drink package, it’s their prerogative.

It’s just nice to know when others share the possibility of price savings.  It’s a great gesture, even if others choose not to be partake in the savings. Some will though.

Spot on. Enjoy your vacation, stop criticizing what prople choose to buy and do on their vacation

I checked mine in case it was an actual 4th of July sale instead of specific to certain sailings, but unfortunately mine hasn't budged. 😕 Cabanas still range from 1k to 1800, and the Beach Club is still 179.

More power to them if the market will actually bear those prices, but as for myself ... nah, not worth it.  But I will definitely keep checking!

My cruise is less than three weeks away check when your cruise is 20 days away

  6. Check your cruise planner if you are going to Coco Cay.

Overwater Cabanas went from $1,899 to $1,499

Coco Beach Club Beach Cabanas dropped from $1,399 to $699.

ALL other Cabanas have dropped from $999 to $499.

I had Coco Beach Club Day Passes booked for $300 for 3 of us. I cancelled and booked the Beach Cabana I could not resist!

I still do not understand why anyone who is fully vaxxed and NOT traveling with anyone who is un-vaxxed would subject themselves to the protocols of a mixed passenger cruise.

I mentioned this in another thread and there were a couple of fully vaxxed people who said they would not mind masking in areas where vaxxed and un-vaxxed people were together. That would not be me or my husband. This is why we are not cruising out of Florida on a Royal ship.

Another head scratcher for me is........why would anyone who is fully vaxxed, not want to show proof of their vaccine? They would rather be considered un-vaxxed and have to subject themselves to the un-vaxxed protocols when cruising out of Florida? Who does that?????

Anyone claiming they have been vaxxed but refuse to prove, is full of it. They have not, most likely will not. Those people live in an "alternative facts" universe.
