If you are an American citizen, you have paid for the tests through your taxes (CARES act), it is your test to take regardless of the reason. Widespread testing is a big part of the current administration’s abatement plan. Why would I pay for a required test, when I have already funded a universal testing program?

Are you flying to a different country immediately after your cruise? Then chill, your tests are and will be free. Leave the USA, ya gotta pay.

Nobody knows, but I don't see why not.

I have a good friend who has been very involved in both tracking and sequencing to assist in assessing and (to a lesser extent) developing vaccines.  He's not one of the really big folks you see and hear, but he's been on some national TV and radio.  He's a very reasonable guy, and he recently has been saying that we shouldn't look at the "booster" as a booster but as the third shot in a three-shot series (or second in a two-shot series if you're dealing with J&J).

Israel is now doing 4 shots. Second booster authorized.

As usual, Royal's Dynamic Pricing policy is an absolute joke when you compare it to all of their competition.  Many companies such as Celebrity offer all inclusive pricing that has the drink package already included.  Others such as Princess, NCL, MSC and HAL offer the drink package as an optional add on package with other perks either all of the time or on occasion like HAL.  Carnival offers their Cheers package as a stand alone add on @ 51.95 per day if bought pre-cruise and 56.95 on board.

The Dynamic Pricing policy fluctuates depending upon which ship you're sailing on and when you sail.  The on board price of 88.00, which recently went up is only better than NCL's 99.00 per day, but nobody pays those prices.  At a 30% discount it comes to 60.99 and even @ a 40% discount it's 52.80 a day, still slightly more than Cheers, which can be purchased at anytime prior to sailing on Carnival and you don't have to keep wasting your time looking for a "sale" like you do with Royal.

On all 14 cruises I have taken over the last 9 years since drink packages started up I have gotten them whether through a perks situation like NCL, Celebrity or MSC or a la carte on Carnival and Royal.  But 30% off at 60.99 per day, plus the 18% gratuity on top comes out to 71.97 per day.  This equates to just over a grand for a 7 day cruise for two people.  I will be taking a hard pass and get the refreshment package @ 50% off and save about 725.00.  I'll survive on my B2B on the Oasis.  I have the drinks package on my 9 other cruises booked for 2022 on Celebrity, NCL, Princess and Carnival.

Looking forward to my Anthem and Oasis cruise. No issues with pricing.  Why don't you have some wine with your whine?

You tell me.  Where is this happening where crew are no longer allowed to leave the ship?

    Fact-based, please.

When you order the room service you will be charged. Stop complaining. Also you have to pay for shore excursion they are not free.

Maybe.  But I dug a little deeper into this practice at the Federal Trade Commission.  Since they established their normal pricing for this for over 6 months at $1699, I believe the FTC would find this a deceptive pricing tactic to imply that today $1699 was a $800 savings.  Especially when on many other items when they have the sale banner, the discounted price is lower than that previously shown.

This definitely holds water.  It is wrong to put it simply.

  6. Have no idea what Brillo is saying... Done this ship and Itinerary 2 times and a 5 night Bermuda on her. A lot of people get dressed up for formal night. It's absolutely optional as well. I'll be on her again and this itinerary in February. Also I just noticed Brillo has never sailed this ship or class nor sailed out of New Jersey.

This is a First World problem, but I don’t like the way that “SEA Class / Junior Suite” guests are treated onboard

No access to Suite Sun Deck or Lounge, no breakfast or lunch in Coastal Kitchen (dinner only if/when space is available) is limiting enough BUT having to knock/scratch at the Coastal door when you have reservations & your keycard doesn’t grant access is demeaning.

Yes, I know, cry me a river, but IMHO, Royal should “recharacterize” Junior Suites as Jumbo Balconies and be done with it as the JS category is all Bark and no Bite!

Trust me you don’t wanna be anywhere near those suite people they drink pink fluffy drinks with pinkies out and one up each other constantly on how many cruises they’ve been on and how well they know this guy and that guy who work on the ship… let them segregate themselves from the rest of the ship I prefer it that way. Slightly tongue-in-cheek but as you can see from some of the comments above it’s somewhat true.
