On our sailing in December it's pretty high too... as much as we wanted to experience the water park or the beach club, I refuse to pay these prices. It's crazy!

FYI: Royal is notorious for changing the price on sold out cabanas. For instance, in Labadeee this past August the cabanas sold out in April or March, but yet after all sold out they changed the cabana price from my cabana prcie that I got for $640 to $1,499.  It sold out at $649 not $1,499.  Why? to make YOU think people pay these crazy prices.

True, but what is the alternative? A state/government run economy that is socialist or communist would never even build the waterpark or a cruise ship industry because people have enough for their needs, that's it.

Real capitalism will be that Royal Caribbean's management overpriced everything so much, trying to "Laffer curve" to the peak, and people realize the alternative cruise line that's more competitively priced and competing for your business is the more attractive booking in the future.

RC is trying to be like Disney these days, where the previous Disney CEO had the philosophy of wanting everyone in the world to be part of Disney so didn't try to maximize the profits to the point of out pricing so many people, where the NEW CEO is 100% trying to min/max on the supply and demand curve to squeeze every last bit of profit out. It's the MBA way, more than anything. Disney has tripled in price in like 15 years.

I've been getting that same vibe from RC in recent years.

I’m against 100% unregulated capitalism which we have. I’m all for capitalism as long as it’s regulated in terms of pricing. Especially with healthcare, food and necessities. Scandinavia is a perfect example it’s what they describe as compassionate capitalism

Is this really true?  I've never been on a ship that didn't have a craps table.  that would be very disappointing.

I swear to god, it was aimed for the Asian market a few years back and then Covid hit and the Asian market is still pretty much closed down. Craps is not big at all in Asia. I watched multiple videos and also saw a few posts they definitely do not have a craps table.

      Hi,

Thank you.  We don’t drink and 3 of the “activities” you mention are being at a bar.  I guess if we want to participate in an actual fun activity we will have to pay.
     🛳🛳

     Bobbi

You're welcome. Please keep us up to date on your other beach days in the Caribbean and how much more "activities" that are free on those beaches and what exactly your vision of a beach day is compared to Coco Cay....

We are terribly spoiled by our favorite local place that's been around over 60 years and hand-makes everything.  Our youngest daughter just started working there last week.  The oldest's husband manages a Papa John's, and when I was in high school, my first job was at a pizza place.  I guess I may qualify as a pizza expert, so I will report back with my official review in a few weeks. 😏

2 things working against you as a pizza expert. 1. Alabama 2. Even mentioning Papa Johns.

I was hoping to read of any included activities for adults. Is there anything “to do” that Royal offers its guests?

This will be our first time at CoCo Cay.

    Thanks,

    🛳🛳

    Bobbi

Adults have multiple beaches to choose from, The huge and beautiful Oasis Lagoon Freshwater Pool with Swin up bar, multiple on shore  bars, a floating in the ocean tiki bar, sports courts.
