We will be there on May 1. Thanks for the info. I noticed you are from Tallahassee. I live in Cairo, GA so we are almost neighbors.
I'm on your cruise as well :)

I'm going on my first cruise on the 28th. We are booked in a grand suite so we have priority boarding.
I've heard all kinds of horror stories about the platinum cruisers giving the FTTF folks a hard time for "being where they don't belong." I hope it's not the same for those booked in a suite. Yikes!

Avoid the Lido deck the first day, it's full of newbies.
I'm a newbie and I have no idea which deck this actually is. But I'll probably be there! :)

We paid for expedited processing and got in about 10 days.
I checked the application status website daily and it always said our info could not be found. I even checked about a month after they arrived and it still says no info can be found! Lol

We got a call Friday. We were in a junior suite and upgraded to a grand suite for $320 more. Our cruise is in 20 days.

That happens to me all the time! Thankfully I'm really only 21 days out!

Did you take the upsell when they called or emailed? If not, it may already be gone to the next in line.
Yes, we took it.

We are booked on the Paradise April 28th. First cruise ever. We originally had a junior suite Room V11 which we were excited about as it's high up in the ship and forward. They called today and offered a grand suite room U89 for $320 more total. This is mid ship but several decks lower.
Thoughts? Does anyone have experience with these rooms or locations? Is it better to be high up on the ship or lower? Will the views be better in one location vs. the other? What about balcony size?
There are only 2 of us in the room. We wanted a balcony no matter what and that's how we ended up in a suite to begin with.

We are going on our first cruise later this month and are not booking any excursions. They seem very overpriced (money is not an issue) and I prefer to do what I want when I want to do it. I don't think I would ever just stay on the ship. The excursions just seem touristy and I'm happy just to be on vacation so I know I'll still have fun :)

Do they automatically add the tip for room service or do I need to tip cash?

Thanks Gingee
She's a chihuahua. She's about 7 pounds. Very sweet and not yappy at all!

I just feel that some services deserve additional gratuities. I always tip at least 20% in restaurants, more for outstanding service. The steward in my opinion deserves a little extra. He's away from his family for months at a time and I don't mind throwing him a bone. Particularly for good service.
I'm not overly messy or anything like that lol. Thanks for the input!

For those of you who tip your steward above the standard, how much extra do you tip? My tips are pre paid. Is $50 extra for a 5 day cruise enough?
First time cruiser so please don't flame me! :)

I thought there were still restrictions on how much liquid you could bring on board a flight. I'm in the same situation, except we are taking a cab to the port. I was planning on having them stop at a grocery on the way so I could pick up a bottle.

Where do you find the F2F to purchase???
It's sold as an excursion. Often it is sold out, they only sell a small amount per cruise.

I purchased it for my first cruise which is in April. We have a suite so we already have priority boarding. I don't personally care about getting on or off the ship quickly. Lines don't bother me either. I simply wanted access to my room immediately and expedited baggage delivery. It's worth the $50 just for that to me.
I'm not interested in dragging my carry on around when it's going to have a bottle of vino and a 12 pack of coke in it. It'll be very heavy very quickly!
