I just saw your live review this weekend. Will you be doing another live review this cruise? I love reading your very entertaining reviews as you are an amazing writer. Have a great time! We loved our Alaska cruise on the Encore in August 2021. It was fitting to return to the Encore as it was the last cruise we did in Feb 20 before Covid.

This daily references “sail away” and “welcome aboard” so the Splash Academy times do not reflect when it is open for kids without parents. The hours listed on the daily seem to indicate the times to check it out. Day two of the dailies are needed.

On the Encore and Bliss, the club balcony suites not only had bigger bathrooms but multiple shower jets in the shower. On the Jewel class ships, the curtain between the bed area and sofa area may be handy if traveling with kids.

Thank you for this informative review and all the photos. Is it possible to add a photo of the back page of a daily schedule? I have been searching online for photos or videos of the renovations made to the thermal spa without success. Any chance of adding a photo or describing what is in there? With the Spirit being renovated just before Covid, there is very limited info available and I appreciate all the details provided in this live review.

@YVRteacher just wanted to say thank you again for your amazing live review. We leave on the Jewel in 12 days and your review was so helpful. @Muckyduckway we have also cruised Alaska in May, June and August (2 times). We are considering adding a September cruise this year. The June cruise was really special for how it never really got dark as we cruised in mid June. We arrived by plane into Anchorage close to midnight and it was light outside. You can’t go wrong anytime although I expect the October cruise may be colder and darker. We will cruise again in June in a few weeks.
