There are two drop off points. In February of 2023, we were on the NCL Encore, I know different cruise line but when we boarded the bus they asked the airline we would be on. They did the two drop off points The first was the end where American Airlines was and the driver announced it before he got off the bus to take out the luggage for those with American flights.

Our assigned disembarkation was 8:30,by the time we got our luggage and walked through immigration and went out to find the bus heading to MIA it was about 9:10, then we sat there for about 20 minutes and the bus took off about 9:30. We were at MIA at about 10:00 Now the bad part was that these bus drivers will only drop you off at one location. I think there are two bus drop offs, In February of 2023 we were dropped off right at where our America Ticket counter was. This time we are all dropped off at the furthest point.It took us 45 minutes to walk. I want to say they dropped us off at check point 10 where all the International flights were. I definitely got my steps in that day.

I just did in on the 17th of December, I also had booked hotel through HAL and they picked us up at the MIA Airport. It is really not that far as long as traffic is not a problem. For me I can get much better flight that are non stop to MIA rather than FLL. For the return home we did not do that Excursion tour of MIA because we did that on on February 2023. Our flight was not till 5:00 pm but fortunately I have Club Lounge Access whihc makes the time go by much easier. If you have a long wait it might be worth buy a day pass that many of the airlines offer for their lounges.

I have to agree that the NS Pinnacle Grill was by far the Best I have been to for food quality and service in the past 5 HAL cruises. The worst was the KDam just a few weeks before the NS. It was total night and day difference. I also had the David Burke Special with tenderloin and lobster dumpling. The one thing consistent with Pinnacle Grill and HAL is the inconsistency.

I have seen very recently people stating that Westerdam was canceled for August 18 sailing. I just got this email this morning that Effy Jewelry has chartered it and inviting me to sail

Of my last several HAL cruise this has definitely been the longest to show but then we have technically two holidays but when we sailing Koningsdam in November disembarked on a Saturday and 6 days later on Friday it updated. I would have thought this would have updated this past week. Possibly the person or persons that handles this took a long holiday vacation.

Roy, yes by the time I saw the ship it was out in the distance sailing and the web cam was not zoomed in I just noticed that the shape was very different and now knowing it was QM2 it makes total sense that is what it was. When all the ships were in port I did not notice QM2 on the other side of Nieuw Statendam, she could have been up a bit further and then totally blocked by Allure OTS.

You know I think the other ship that left was QM2 based on the shape The sails are going up on the Wind Surf!! Very Cool!!

Pretty sure Wind Surf's departure time was to be 7pm tonight so they must have decided to leave early.

I am surprised Wind Surf is moving as well but did not bring up her sails.

Nieuw Statendam is still there. There was a smaller ship on the other side of NS that I could not make out what it was prior.

I am not sure what ship that is sailing out of St Maarten, I stepped away from my computer.

It had appeared the Nieuw Statendam moved but now she is not moving. possibly just appears she moved due to the sun shining on her. Since both NS and Allure were to leave at 5 local time I am guess they will be later. Still lots of people heading toward Allure to board.

Yes, I am thinking their departure time is probably more like 5:30 but guessing Nieuw Statendam is at 5 their time. It is too bad that NS will probably leave first so hard to see it till it gets away from Allure OTS. I think it is funny that the web cam in St Marten shows the ship I was on just 2 weeks ago today and the ship I will be on in 9 weeks 😂 And the one in-between is one I will never be on.

I am watching the St Maarten Web Cam and both Allure OTS and NS are schedules to leave at 5, in about 12 minutes, web cam has zoomed in so you can see lots of people rushing to the Allure maybe they are leaving a bit later than schedules.

I tried processing my August cruise and it came back stating that I must wait Till August to submit any cruise after July 31, 2024. So what happens if your cruise is the beginning of August. I find this really strange. I figured I would wait an attempt to do it between March and May.
