i havent cruised RCI for a few years but i've booked a few cruises

 

with Emerald how many free minutes of internet do you get and once you reach Diamond how many for that

 

is the MDR open on embarkment day for lunch

Once you reach Diamond status you will receive 24hours of free internet service. Only place for lunch on boarding day is the Windjammer.

The only unresolved issue I am aware of as a recent cruiser is the almost non existent A/C in a portion of the Casino.

 

We have been delayed on numerous cruises when we had transportation from our Hotel to the port. The Hotel transportation was rescheduled to coincide with the new departure schedule.

 

RCI is damned when they do and damned when they don't do something. Relax folks and enjoy your vacation!!!

Seems odd that they waited till now to fix the AC in the casino. Guess they are expecting really hot weather so they need to fix it. Just annoys me that we lose 3 hours on the ship.

What did you do in COOCO Cay?

We booked the Nov 5 Brilliance cruise over a year ago, and the final payment has been listed as Sept 6 since then. My sister-in-law just decided to join us and booked a few weeks ago, and her final payment is due Aug 7. Has RCCL changed when the final payment is due for short cruises within the past year? I was planning to pay ours at the beginning of Sept, but I got an email today saying our final payment was due - but it didn't say when. On-line, under the payment tab it still says Sept 6, but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't take any chances and pay it now.

When they say $44/ day for premium on the website, is that price already reduced by the 20 percent off? And then add taxes and gratuities?

NO RCCL does fuzzy math. If you purchased the premium package on the ship the first day t would cost you $49 dollars a day plus 18% gratuity.

On our next cruise we are thinking of taking the ferry to Playa Del Carmen. Can anyone tell me were we would take the ferry in Cozumel, how much it would cost and how long of a ride. Thanks

That cabin is on the 'hump'..there should be no obstruction at all! If you look down (and this applies to ALL side cabins) the lifeboats are below deck 7, so you will be able to see the lifeboat covers. But, your outward view is totally open. The lifeboats are really a non-issue.

I'm booked in cabin 7594 on the Brilliance Nov 5, just notice it has an obstructed view. how bad is the obstructed view.

Might be your location on the ship. I kept dropping my connection while on the Brilliance back in January with my iPhone 6.

It's a beautiful ship. Looking to sail on her again.

You can download the WhatsApp as long as you can connect to wifi you can make calls to people who are using the app.

Hasn't RC been sailing from the NY/NJ area year round for quite some time now?

I realize that it hasn't been with the newest of ships, but it is my understanding that they have been cruising this route for quite some time now.

Is my understanding incorrect?

RC has been sailing year round out NJ since 2004.

Do you have any pics of the balcony? We are in the same cabin on the serenade. Never had a hump cabin and im hoping a lounge chair would fit.

Sorry I don't have any pictures of the balcony. There are two chairs and a table I don't think a lounge chair would fit.

We just returned from the Brilliance of the Seas and had a hump cabin as well on deck 9 cabin 9586 and didn't hear any noise coming from the Centrum.
